Who can believe that half of the year is almost gone? The first six months of this year has truly flown by.

Our Friday Night Bingo is going along very nicely. However, as always, we are looking for Volunteers. We are looking for anyone who would be interested in perhaps helping with the Banking, tables, floor, and kitchen. If any of these things would spark an interest, please come on up to the Club House on a Friday and speak to Eleanor Colasanti.

This is once a month thing. We are also looking for anyone who would be interested in calling Bingo. You would be trained. Eleanor Colasanti is up at the Club House on Tues. afternoon at 3:00 pm and she will train you.

I hope all our Moms in Brookridge had a wonderful Mother's day. I would like to wish all our Dads a very Happy Father's Day.

Growing and caring for plants can support healing and rehabilitation if you're recovering from a stroke, surgery, or an injury. Gardening or caring for inside plants can strengthen muscles; help regain dexterity in your hands; and build endurance, coordination, and balance. Interacting with plants helps everyone improve their emotional, mental and physical well-being. It also helps to exercise 3 days a week.

Our class is for Brookridge residents and their houseguests (Sorry, no children). The cost is fifty cents per class and the first class is free! Class starts at 8:30 am and runs to 9:30 am on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Classes start with low impact aerobics followed by stretch and tone; weights; and either mats or chairs. The class ends with a balance circle. Weights and mats are available if you don't have your own. Come have fun with us!

If you have a weight problem, you know it is an everyday situation that we have to control. Being in a group will help. Come join us on Mondays at 9:00 am in Room D of the Clubhouse. For more info, call Alice Yost at 352-606-4469
