Mandy Nader and Chelsea Robinson were both selected to the all-tournament team. Robinson assisted the game-winning goal against Portland State while Nader provided a solid presence on the Broncos’ back line, playing 190 of the possible 195 minutes over the weekend.

HILLSBORO, Ore. - After falling in two double-overtime games this season, the Boise State women’s soccer team pulled out an extra-time win of its own with a 1-0 victory against Portland State in the first game of the Viking Soccer Classic.

Scoring Summary: 1. 105:23 BSU Shannon Schueren (2) (Roninson)

Freshman Shannon Schueren scored the Broncos’ gamewinning goal in the 106th minute with a header into the left corner past the Portland State keeper. Senior Chelsea Robinson set the play up with a cross from the right corner which found the charging Schueren in stride. Both teams had scoring opportunities throughout the game as the momentum shifted several times throughout regulation. Each squad put up seven shots on goal but the game was kept scoreless thanks to some acrobatic saves from their respective goalkeepers. Boise State keeper Liz Ruiz put together her secondconsecutive shutout and earned her third win of the season. The senior has accumulated 25 wins in her career and is two shy of passing Kim Parker for the most wins in school history.

► MATCH 8: SOCCER FALLS TO CAL POLY HILLSBORO, Ore - The Boise State women’s soccer team fell to Cal Poly, 3-0 in the final game of the Viking Soccer Classic in Hillsboro, Ore. Cal Poly got off to a quick start in the third minute when Boise State goalkeeper Liz Ruiz was drawn out of the box to face the attacking Mustang forward, Tiffany Gummow. Ruiz went up for the bouncing ball but Gummow was able to go around her to score on the empty net.

The Broncos were outmatched on the stat sheet in the first half as evidenced by the 2-0 score as well as the 11-1 shot deficit. F 0 1

OMAHA, Neb. - The Boise State women’s soccer team won its second double-overtime game in as many weeks with a 1-0 victory over South Dakota. Freshman Shannon Schueren put away the game-winning goal for the Broncos in the 102nd minute off an assist from Katy Oehring. After dribbling around a Coyote defender, Oehring served a cross on the ground to the center of the field which Schueren sent to the back of the net. The game-winner was the second of the season for Schueren, who headed in the double-overtime winner against Portland State at the Viking Soccer Classic. The Bothell, Wash., native has a team-leading three goals and seven points this season. Boise State took control of the first half, putting pressure on South Dakota in the attacking end. The Broncos outshot the Coyotes 10-4 in the first period and finished with a 5-0 corner kick advantage. Though both teams had scoring opportunities throughout the game, neither could capitalize on its chances. The two squads
