I’m under the impression that Arab governments have invested in such initiatives to develop the local film industry; raise the profile of their filmmakers and extend their visibility in the TV and film production space where they have greater opportunities to develop their skills and make filmmaking a full time, income-generating job rather than a mere hobby.
