Fiona Meagher BBC Foundation

Fiona has lived in Brisbane all her life and was educated at Brisbane Girls Grammar School and the University of Queensland from which she holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Law. Fiona worked as a solicitor for a number of years at Morris Fletcher and Cross which merged to become known as Minter Ellison. She then became Group General Counsel and Company Secretary for the Telecom New Zealand Australia group of companies. She was also Chief Operating Officer at McCullough Robertson for several years. Fiona now consults part time, particularly to professional services firms specialising in change management, partner performance management and remuneration and strategy development. As well as being a Director of the BBC Foundation, she previously served as a Director for the Breast Cancer Association of Queensland, and is currently a Legal Member of the Queensland Mental Health Review Tribunal and a member of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal – Migration and Refugee Division. Fiona is the mother of two children, one of whom is in the middle school at BBC.

Born in NSW, Stephen’s father was in the Australian Air Force and as child he travelled often. He was a student at BBC from 1974 -1978 and played rugby, cricket (1st) and cross-country. In Stephen’s time at BBC it become clear to him that when “the Boarding House is strong-BBC is strong”-a philosophy that he still embraces today. He is President of the Tennis Support Group as well as a Committee Member on the OCA Executive and a Director of the BBC Foundation. Stephen instituted the very successful “Directors Circle” before each home match for the First V in tennis (GPS & Qld Champions) and First XV rugby. He is the Principal of law firm CDI lawyers.

Bronwyn McEntee BA (Hons), MCom, FFin, AIMM serves as a Director on the Board of BBC Foundation Limited. She is also a general Committee member of Brisbane Girls Grammar School P&F Association. Bronwyn has more than 25 years’ experience in international wholesale banking, in the areas of risk management, audit, global markets and wholesale bank resourcing. She graduated from the University of Queensland with a BA (Hons), and gained her M.Comm degree from University of New South Wales. Bronwyn has also undertaken Japanese language studies at Kochi University Kochi, International Christian University Tokyo, and the University of Tokyo Japan. A native of Brisbane, she has lived and worked in Sydney, Tokyo and Hong Kong. In 2011, she relocated from Hong Kong to Brisbane with her family. Bronwyn is married to Geoff who is a senior project executive with John Holland Pty Ltd. Bronwyn’s son graduated from BBC in 2014. Her daughter attends Brisbane Girls Grammar School. Bronwyn has been actively involved in College support groups including the Boarder Support Group and Wheller House fundraising committee.

John is a qualified solicitor having previously worked for Clayton Utz in that firm’s Litigation and Corporate/Commercial Departments. He has worked as an in-house lawyer for various companies including M.I.M. Holdings Limited and General Electric. He was the Company Secretary and Head of Legal Department at Bank of Queensland. He currently provides company secretarial, director and governance services to various companies and organisations.

Chris is the Business Manager at BBC and manages and oversees the Business and Financial Administration functions at the College. He was born in the Queensland outback town of Aramac, near Longreach where he enjoyed the experience of growing up on a large sheep and cattle station. He is a CPA qualified Accountant and after living for 20 years in Melbourne, he moved 10 years ago, back to Brisbane with his wife Julie and their three children. Prior to joining BBC in 2008, Chris held Senior Financial Executive positions in corporations involved in wholesale fresh food logistics, IT software development and internet hosting, industrial services, venture capital and national sports administration. Chris has brought a wealth of knowledge to BBC and has been proactive in building and maintaining a better College.
