BRILLIANT LABS SPEAKER SERIES Join in on the Conversation! Brilliant Labs is committed to empowering youth, adults and families to fuel their passions, take creative risks and construct a sustainable future for themselves and their communities. As the global K-12 learning community is making efforts to embrace the change and adapt to new circumstances with openness and curiosity, we continue our support to catalyze change across the education ecosystem. We are exploring new opportunities for youth to cultivate innovative skills that nurture not only their thinking (cognitive) needs but also social-emotional needs. This school year Brilliant Labs has begun hosting talks each month,

inviting experts to bring new aspirations and perspectives through their stories. In the spirit of Canada's 2030 Agenda, a call to action for global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), BL highlights topics including socially responsible leadership, positive computing, critical design, ethical design, empathy and well-being. The 30-45 min talks deliver experiences that amplify youth voices about issues they care about and invite them to participate in an innovation challenge submitting personal passion projects and ideas. On October 8, 2020, we hosted our kick-off 'Making a Difference: Speaker Series' event for
