By purposeful intent, the Creative Movement classes have a loose organization. It looks like merely playing but actually there is much that goes on in Creative Movement! This is often the very first class in a child's life and there is lots to learn: • How to use a large, open space in a structured environment • First controlled movements of the body with large & small motor skills • The development of listening skills and rhythm through music immersion • Working with other students, taking turns, sharing props • Spatial awareness: Direction in three dimensions • Use of imagination & improvisation leads to inquiry & discovery
By allowing freedom to explore, we allow the love for dance to blossom.
