This winter turned out to be great thanks to our supporters and sponsors! We had a show of support this year and made multiple trips to ChingChuan and Taitung for deliveries of winter necessities, plant based food staples, and additional gifts.
This marks the 11th annual year we have been able to give back to families and children in Taiwan via our Santa Jia-Xin delivery while providing support and workshops for them all year round. We kicked off our reindeer deliveries in the mountains of Hsinchu, working with Taoshan Elementary School and the Catholic Church with a few of our volunteer elves. Everyone had worked hard beforehand, wrapping each of the wishlist gifts in upcycled election paper
and using leftover stickers as tape. Bright Side selected to work with VEGUE this year, one of Taiwan's premiere up and coming online plant-based sites. We were able fulfill a long list of plant-based food staples such as canned tuna, curry chicken, bolognese pasta, and pork floss. Oatside mylk and everyday cooking oil was also included in the package in addition to 162 KG of organic rice by Yong Xin Rice that simultaneously supported local farmers.
We did what we could with what we had to provide more to all those we could.
Next on our itinerary were indigenous tribes in Taitung, and thankfully we had help of our partners in the Vineyard Art Association to hand out the footwear to the kids in person. Our kids and their parents from the FUKID tribe also helped us sort and distribute the food staples and necessities to their own community; it's been so amazing to have seen the kids growing up since 2015 and with each passing year able to help us out even more!

This year we made went a Japanese cultural route creating strawberry daifuku with the youth and paired the workshop with amazing Omnipork pork cutlets made by Ooh Cha Cha In early January, gingerbread cookies were made with older persons who absolutely loved the workshop paired with the holiday tunes we brought.
We want to thank you to all of our volunteer elves the past three months of gifting, workshops, and deliveries to families and children. We also want to thank our local contacts in each location for making it possible to coordinate for delivery and even having the kids take us around and helping with distribution.
