SEBAGO — For the third time, Pam and David Donohue recently hosted a putting contest to benefit Sebago’s Spaulding Memorial Library. Over 91 tickets were sold, and more than 85 people challenged themselves on the three putting greens, two with difficult pin locations, at the Donohue’s beautiful Laurel Ledge course. Two players in each division tied with low scores, the ladies at 15 and the men at 13. After a sudden death playoff, the Ladies’ Championship was awarded to Connie Robichaud with the runner-up being Rita Tranter. Once the men completed their playoff, Rich Randlov won the men’s championship, and John Thombs placed second. David and Pam Donohue presented trophies to all four. The extended Donohue family helped at each of the holes, providing putters and advice if needed. After participants made their way around the course, and turned in their scores, they could then relax lakeside. Hors d’oeuvres and a barbecue were provided by the Donohues, salads and desserts by the library trustees and a bar was hosted by Lake Region Catering.
