Qn. Is there another musician you’ve mentored or trained? Describe what you’ve done to help them. There are may that I’ve mentored in which I feel I do every Monday night at my club, where

I’m only open on Monday nights, I do the first part jazz as well as let other entertainers come up and play or sing with me, I’m open to young and old to come play with me.

Qn. Have you ever taught anyone how to play an instrument? Describe this experience. Yes, the experience was and has been great to see someone progress and have the passion for music is always great.

Qn. What’s the best piece of advice another musician ever gave you? Be myself and play the way I feel it.

Qn. What’s your process for dealing with performance anxiety if any? I really never have, once I start playing it’s a feeling that makes me feel good.

Qn. When performing LIVE do you know when you have connected with your audience? Yes, when I see them patting there hands, feet patting and a smile on there face. Qn. How would you handle traveling and being away from your home for an extended time period while you were on tour? I’m focused on the job I have to do, not what’s going on at home, my mind goes with my music.

Qn. What would you do if your audience looked tired or bored during your performance? I’ve competitions? Did you win any prizes ? Yes, and yes I’ve won many.

Qn. As an artist how would you describe your music? Fun, energetic, my own unique style of the blues from the heart.

Qn. If you could have steamed hot Coffee with any musician past or present, who would it be and why? Prince, he was taught by an older musician because I picked up on the style and I understood where he was coming from. Also my brother George, he had an unique style playing the saxophone.

Qn. What book have you read that has most influenced your music life? I really have not read a lot of books, I mainly talk to different musicians older in which you can learn more and history by listening to the blues tells a story.

Qn. You’re playing style is very distinct, you really stand out carving out a niche and playing style that is very unusual. Where did your inspiration come from? By listening to my brother play saxophone and my dad singing gospel, also by listening to organists play.
