Somany brides are opting for two, and sometimes three, dress changes. When asked my opinion on this trend, my answer is simple.
Look for the gown you absolutely love. Buy it. Own it. Then, if a shorter option catches your eye, consult your budget. If the numbers allow for a second purchase, you won’t regret it.
This additional dress offers peace of mind. If something should spill, you know you have a dress on hand to save the day. If your formal gown starts to get in your way, you have a dress on hand to save the day. Many girls opt to change into something a little less formal to dance the night away.

Don’t waste your time driving all over town researching wedding vendors. Save time, gas and money by attending America’s largest wedding planning event — the Houston Bridal Extravaganza Show.
For 41 years, the show has introduced Southeast Texas couples to the most trusted wedding vendors. At this bi-annual event brides can find their dream vendors, shop, and plan the details of their big day.
A cornerstone of the Extravaganza is the Major Prize program. Vendors offer giveaways such as honeymoons and shopping sprees. So, whether you have been engaged for one week, or have every detail planned, there is something waiting for you at the Extravaganza. Be sure to download the BrideScan app and be ready to scan QR codes to enter to win.
The General Admission ticket is an inexpensive option for access during the show hours. With this ticket, you can see the full range of show vendors, participate in watching and winning during the
fashion show and Bridescan giveaways, and dress up with your bridal squad for a chance to win prizes.
If you choose to upgrade, you can purchase VIP tickets. In addition to the GA perks, these tickets allow you early entrance to the event: perfect for beating the lines and surveying the booths while they’re quiet. There are also many special surprises in store for the VIPs.
The fashion shows bring the wedding gown shopping experience to life! Imagine what a gown will look like on you as you see it on the New York style runway. From boho and contemporary, to clean and classic, there are styles to see for everyone.
With the simple download of the Bridescan app, you can connect with vendors by scanning a QR code. You can also scan and be entered into various vendor giveaways.
The show will be back at the George R. Brown Convention Center this June. This is the event of the season for couples, families, and friends. With options for every budget, bring your best bride squad outfits, your phone to scan to win, and an appetite for cake samples and champagne.

Kudos to the couple and or planner who thought of this creative seating chart! Names were strategically placed by table number in a tequila shot.
LWX Custom Hats is a hatter that can get you ready for your barn or country themed wedding. The bride can purchase a custom hat for her big day. Alternatively, the couple can gift a hat to their wedding party. Imagine a hat bar where your bride squad can select the hat of their dreams. (lwxcustomhats.com)
These single-use packets of mouthwash offer convenience and hygiene, ensuring fresh breath is always within reach for your guests. There are several luxury options, with phrases like “Mr. and Mrs.,” “Celebrate,” “Welcome,” “Thanks,” and “Love” to add a personal touch to your wedding favors or restroom amenities. The mouthwash is a clear liquid that won’t stain clothing, providing both freshness and peace of mind for your guests. (gomouthwash.com)

I have always been intimidated by finding eyeliner. The smooth effortlessness of a lined eyelid is a subdued and feminine touch that I envy! For the longest time, I tried liquid eyeliner, various sticks of eyeliner, and brands… and found myself falling short.
Whether it was smudges, cakiness, or flakiness, this eye pen defies the odds and rolls onto the eye seamlessly.
I love the warm brown of the bronze, with a light shimmer that catches in the light and leaves you feeling confident and beautiful for the day!
For this product, I’ll be frank in my endorsement. While it’s a more expensive product than some others, this is the gentlest, the most consistent, and the lightest moisturizer I have ever used.
The value is unbeatable.
In the cooler months, I’m prone to skin dryness, and flakiness. It wrecks my self-esteem. With Clinique, it truly does feel like the moisture returns to my face almost instantly. I’ve never struggled with any skin irritation when I use that moisturizer, in contrast to the outbreaks I had experienced when I used other brands.
Instead, the moisture surge is a product that I can reapply throughout the day and feel confident in. It’s something that I swear by in the skincare world!
To celebrate the bright and bold colors for the spring season, the Elan sneakers by Gola are a line of creative color blends that make an adventurous addition. With my light-yellow tennis shoes, I can dress them up or down.
I’d recommend these for someone always on the go! If you’re looking for chic and comfortable, look no further. They’re stylish, they’re trendy, and they’re inexpensive. What more can someone look for when it comes to quality shoes?

I have fallen in love with drinking coffee every morning. It also reminds me of one of my favorite songs by BTS, “Coffee.”
Growing up in Texas we have a popular jewelry store that sells charms. These charms represent different stages in my life. I wear them every day as a reminder of who I am.
Having this record for your guests is a cute way to decorate your house in memory of your wedding.
This hair mist hit me like I was lying down in a garden full of flowers.
When the cold weather enters my city, so does my addiction to the Twilight sagas. All of these outdoor weddings make me feel like I’m in the series.
One of my biggest predictions for 2025 weddings is bows everywhere. At the Bridal Extravaganza, I kept spotting bows — too cute to pass on!

For an affordable scent for men, Fragrance Couture’s vanilla tobacco blend is my pic to keep the spice in your life even after your wedding.
Color Wow’s cult favorite firm + flexible hairspray is what all the brides and grooms should be using this season to keep their perfect looks on their perfect day.
O Boticário’s coffee man is my go-to personal fragrance, keeping a subtle and calm scent. For those who don’t mind a little less personal space.
Shea Moisture’s curl enhancing smoothie is my personally preferred way of accentuating my naturally curly hair and for all the guys and girls out there with crazy curls!
Demeter’s cinnamon bark spray is another scent I recommend for before after and during weddings, honeymoons, you name it. Cinnamon never goes out of style.

These types of shoes are perfect to walk down the aisle on your wedding day. Not only do they come in any color imageable, they also can be designed to whatever your heart desires. I am a huge fan of high tops, and they are my go-to shoes, so I wear them every day. My first goal is to collect every classic color. Then after that, I want to expand my collection to include more themed high tops.
Whether you have them on the tables at your wedding, or give them out as gifts, they will make a fantastic addition to the whole experience. Mini candles are a neat idea because they are little, and it is easy for them to be packed. Not only do mini candles smell good, but they also have the best colors. When candles are lit you can relax and take the stress away.
This type of media is coming back, and it is a fantastic way to capture moments. You can have your photos in black and white or color, it is up to you to decide. Film photography is my favorite way to take photos. Although developing them may be a long process, it is one of my favorite things to do.
Having food trucks at your wedding is a great idea because you can present a variety of options for your guests. Everyone enjoys tasty food, so why not have food trucks? They are trendy and convenient, and they spice up events. Food is something that should be enjoyed by all, especially at celebrations. Having a food truck or two can ease some of the traditional rules that many weddings conform to.

Indoor fireworks can add a magical and unforgettable touch to a wedding celebration. Bringing drama and excitement to the first dance, grand entrance or cutting of the cake. Fireworks can energize the dance floor making the reception feel more like a celebration than a formal event.
Victoria Beckham Beauty has become my go-to brand for all things eye makeup. I love the neutral eye shadow palette for my everyday look and when I want to add a touch of sparkle, I reach for Lid Lustre for a subtle, glitzy glow. (victoriabeckhambeauty.com)
What’s more frustrating than a stray eyebrow hair that your tweezers just can’t grasp? Tweezerman tweezers stand out from the rest, offering both exceptional quality and unmatched precision. Whether shaping my brows or tackling a stubborn splinter, these tweezers have never let me down. (tweezerman.com)
Dealing with dry skin during the colder months can be frustrating. My go-to for intense hydration is Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Body Cream. The scent is incredible, blending notes of salted caramel, pistachio, and vanilla, leaving me smelling amazing for hours. Not only does it absorb quickly, but it keeps my skin hydrated for a long time, and as a bonus, it even helps firm the skin. (soldejaneiro.com)
A message etched onto a special glass to commemorate your wedding day is a permanent memento that can be cherished for years to come. Adding names, wedding date or a special quote can create a truly unique gift.
Who knew bobbleheads could be such a fun and adorable way to celebrate your wedding guests? Personalizing each one makes for a truly unique favor, giving guests a playful keepsake they’ll treasure forever. These custom bobbleheads add a lighthearted and entertaining touch, making your wedding even more joyful and memorable.

There is nothing better than a good book and a cup of tea to relax after a long day. Reading books allows the body to relax and travel to other places without leaving the room within minutes. The stories shared within the pages will forever follow those who read them.
Finding the right glasses can be overwhelming, from frames, colors, styles, and brands there are many options to choose from. As a necessary accessory for many, glasses can sometimes clash with daily outfits. Therefore, to me finding neutrally colored and shaped glasses allows for easy and cohesive fashionable choices.
Sports are fun to watch, and much more to play. Therefore, finding the right protective equipment is the most important thing to me. Sports with high physical impact like football or judo can cause a person’s smile to change in an instant if the right mouthguard is not being used. Have fun and remember to protect your smile.
Polaroid cameras have increasingly become more popular in recent years. To me, they are a great way to connect with others, make new memories, and have an instant reminder in your hands. They make great party favors or can be an alternative for a guest book.
The perfume a person wears can say a lot about them and even influence those around them. To me, perfume is a reflection of a person’s personality and a subtle way to show their true self, so have fun and try new scents. There might be one just for you!

Caroline and Rene’s love story began at a small house party, thanks to a mutual friend who introduced them. Their connection was instant, and what started as a casual evening quickly blossomed into something much deeper.
When it came time for the proposal, Rene knew he had to make it unforgettable. So, he whisked Caroline away on a surprise trip to New York City. The day after they arrived, he proposed to her in the heart of Central Park… an iconic setting for a life-changing moment.
The location for their wedding was a no-brainer, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a place Caroline had always dreamed of for her big day. The cobblestone streets, colorful buildings, and the enchanting atmosphere made it the perfect spot for their celebration of love.
For their rehearsal dinner, Caroline and Rene broke tradition with a natural wine and tequila tasting at Octogono Vino in San Miguel. Only their closest family and a few friends attended, making it an intimate and memorable experience.
As is traditional in San Miguel, family and friends gathered for a “callejoneada.” This colorful parade takes place in the streets and parks in the historic downtown. Mariachis and giant puppets called Mojigangas lead the way.
On the big day, Caroline exuded elegance and grace in a stunning Danielle Frankel “Phoebe” gown. San Miguel is known for beautiful cathedrals and the Temple of San Francisco, a few blocks from the main square, was the perfect setting to provide a sense of place.
The reception was held at the Instituto Allende boasting stunning
views of the picturesque town. Caroline stunned her groom when she changed into a custom threepiece mini dress, ready to dance the night away in style.
Their wedding cake was a delicious almond cake with cream cheese frosting, decorated with vibrant dried flowers that mirrored the colorful spirit of the day. Guests were wowed by a fireworks display as the happy couple cut the cake.
After the wedding, Caroline and Rene are planning a honeymoon to Japan for their first anniversary, a perfect way to continue their adventure together.
To add a personal touch to their celebration, they branded the entire wedding weekend with the name “Casa Yañez,” complete with a signature logo on shirts, welcome bags, and more. It was a small but special detail that made their day even more unique.
It was a wedding filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories, setting the stage for the many adventures Caroline and Rene will share in the years to come.

It was in New York City, under the foliage and timelessness of Central Park, where Kitty and Jack were engaged.
The setting of this classic city set the backdrop for the beautiful, elegant wedding that the couple had in December of 2023.
From the venue to her wedding gown by Danielle Frankel, Kitty pulled together details that made the wedding one for the books.
The first decision? Their location of Boxwood Manor in Tomball, Texas.
“We had heard great things about Boxwood Manor. The location was very convenient for everyone, and we wanted everything indoors, so Boxwood was the perfect place for us,” Kitty says.
This charming cottage venue has clean, crisp lines and fresh aesthetics. Paired with the lighting and the sleek style choices Kitty made for the ceremony, it served as a beautiful pairing for the special day.
During the ceremony, Kitty made a special choice to have Jack meet her before she reached the end of the aisle with her father.
“When my dad was walking me down the aisle, my husband met us right before I got to the end of the aisle to symbolize how Christ will one day come for His bride which is the church,” Kitty says.
Afterwards, the couple met their guests to celebrate and cut the cake. As the night came to an end, they prepared to embark on their honeymoon at St. Barths where they stayed at Le Toiny, a tropical resort hotel.
Bride’s Advice: ”Take as many pictures as possible. The day goes by so fast, and you will be so glad that you captured every moment. Soak it all in!”

Nestled in the tall pine tree woods, Rachel and Garrett got married in the romantic, rustic Magnolia Bells on a lovely day in early Spring.
With hints of greenery, and a color palette of sage and peach, their wedding brought in the bright and organic colors in the Spring.
The florals shone brightly in among the dark wood of the inside of Magnolia Bells, complete with bright orange roses and delicate pieces of baby’s breath.
“My florist truly captured my inspiration and brought my vision to life,” Rachel says.
To celebrate, the couple brought in classic comfort foods by Mel’s Cafe for guests. They offered tender pot roast, Veracruz chicken, and other mouthwatering appetizers: stuffed jalapeno poppers and stuffed mushrooms.
At the end of the evening, Rachel and Garrett shared a delicious almond cake filled with fresh strawberries and topped in whipped buttercream. Their friends and family were offered homemade sweets; including brownies, cookies, lemon squares, cheese cake pecan bites, and cheese cake brownie bites!
Overall, the wedding night was a joyous event. Captured in the serene, yet playful photography, the love of Rachel and Garrett shone brightly on their Spring night.
Bride’s Advice: ”My advice would be to enjoy every moment. Time goes by so quickly. All the time planning, to the day of your wedding will fly by in a blink of an eye. Don’t forget to enjoy the journey to the big day. Making your dream wedding a reality is fun! Enjoy all the little details. Even with the long list that comes with planning, special memories can be made! As well as really being in the moment, taking it all in on the wedding day, don’t rush.
“Most importantly, to help with that...Hire a Wedding Planner! They are well worth the investment, they will help take the weight of stress off your shoulders!
“In addition to that, don’t take too many people with you when you try on dresses, that is one thing that should stay more intimate. Too many opinions will be overwhelming, don’t let opinions steal your joy! They won’t be the ones walking down the aisle. Don’t be shy, use your voice!”

It was a Saturday in December, and Hope dressed up for her date night dinner at Morton’s Steakhouse with her soon-to-be fiancé, Chase.
It was a romantic, delicious meal, shared by the couple before they headed along to Santa’s Wonderland in College Station.
Here, under the bright lights and cheer of this seasonal amusement park, Chase asked Hope to be with him forever with a beautiful engagement ring.
During the wedding planning for their ceremony in October 2023, Hope turned to finding quality vendors that would allow her and her wedding guests to enjoy every detail of the special night. With this in mind, Hope looked to Bridal Extravaganza.
“I attended the Bridal Extravaganza in January of 2022, I received so many helpful ideas, possible vendors, and so much more from attending the expo! I am so glad I took the time to make my wedding planning easier,” Hope says.
With a confident wedding planning approach, the couple settled on Big Sky Barn as their venue. “We toured about 15 locations, we loved the atmosphere and appearance of Big Sky the best,” says Hope. “It was also the only venue with our date open.”
The day of, many beautiful moments were captured. Stunning in her wedding gown, Hope perfected the fall color palette with the navy suits of the groomsmen, the officiant and Chase. In addition to the dark, royal shades of blue, her bridesmaids all wore a warm, golden Fall orange.
To further the special moments of the big day, Hope chose to take a moment and thank her mother by gifting her the wedding bouquet.
“I dedicated my bouquet to my mom, she helped me through so much during the wedding planning process. I knew I wanted to do something special for her on the day of the wedding,” says Hope.
Finally, the night ended with a night of dancing and dessert. The cake, provided by Supreme Kakes in
Houston was the perfect addition, especially as Hope navigated finding a gluten-free option, that would still be scrumptious, due to her celiac disease.
After the festivities, the couple waved goodbye and headed on their romantic beachside honeymoon in Hawaii. There they stayed at the Hilton Hawaiian village in the Rainbow tower.
Bride’s Advice: ”Make wedding planning fun! It will be so easy to stress about every little thing, so have as much fun as you can while planning. Make dates out of vendor meetings, my husband and I went on a date on the 14th of every month just as a fun countdown to our wedding. Skip the expensive party favors, most of the guests won’t take one and you’ll be stuck with lots of leftovers. Soak up all the time you can with your spouse, the day will fly by. Brides, if you are one to self tan/spray tan, do a trial!! Spend your money wisely, invest in a highquality coordinator, photographer/ videography and DJ/music! Have so much fun and happy wedding!”

Max and Corrie have known each other since 3rd grade, but after some time apart, they reconnected through social media. As Corrie puts it, “it was like we picked up right where we left off, except with more grown-up conversations and less recess.”
When it came to the proposal, they had originally planned a snowboarding vacation to Durango, Colorado. But after Corrie needed knee surgery, their plans changed. Instead of snowboarding, they opted for a day trip on the Durango and Silverton Train, riding in the caboose to Canyon Lake. Despite the circumstances, it was the perfect day.
Corrie, still recovering, was hobbling along while Max was rushing ahead to get back to the train. He had already asked someone to take a picture of them, but what Corrie didn’t know was that he was secretly filming the whole thing. As they made their way back to the train, Max suddenly dropped to one knee and proposed. It was a complete surprise and a moment that Corrie will never forget.
For their wedding, Max and Corrie decided to say their vows on their own property, which was still under construction. Max had always wanted to get married there, and Corrie loved the idea. They even incorporated the trees from their property by using them to make the wedding benches and the arch.
Stephanie from SD Photography captured every detail of their special day. Corrie was thrilled with how
by Amelia Hall
Stephanie was able to bring their vision to life. And for the cake, they had a personal touch, “I asked my cousin Molly and my Uncle Larry to make our 3-tier brownie bundt cake. It was delicious, and it made the day feel even more special,” she recalls.
For their honeymoon, Max and Corrie headed to the Dominican Republic, staying at the Hideaway at Royalton Punta Cana. Their days were filled with beach walks at sunset, ziplining through the jungle, visiting a cocoa bean farm, and getting up close with adorable monkeys. They even went snorkeling with nurse sharks and stingrays, making for an unforgettable experience.
Looking back on their wedding, Corrie loves how they built friendships with their vendors. It made the whole experience feel even more personal and special, turning the planning process into something memorable for everyone involved.
Bride’s Advice: ”Have an outline of what you and your fiancé are wanting or looking for, but keep an open mind and also do not become overwhelmed. I know it’s easier said than done, but not only is the Bridal Extravaganza a place to find vendors for your special day, but it’s also an information guide. What I mean by information guide is that you will have either questions or statements brought to your attention that you might not have even thought about for your special day, your rehearsal dinner, bachelorette party, honeymoon, or even how you two decide who you are inviting to your big day.”

Larissa Aguilar and Jon Dyson’s story wasn’t your typical romance. It all started in the gym, where Larissa, full of confidence and curiosity, struck up a conversation with Jon about music. “I actually approached him first to see what this man was all about,” Larissa shared. A few casual exchanges later, they swapped numbers. As little time passed, they kept in touch at the gym, went on a smoothie date, and by that weekend, Larissa had practically moved in. “I stayed over and just never left,” she said, joking that it was the best decision she’d ever made.
They didn’t follow the usual love story timeline… traveling the world, jumping into serious discussions, and, without missing a beat, planning a wedding. By December 1, 2024, Larissa and Jon were ready to make it official. No fancy proposal, no big surprise. They picked out rings, wore them, and that was it, simple and straightforward, just like their relationship. “We were already making married-people moves,” Larissa said.
For their wedding, Larissa chose The Farmhouse in Montgomery, Texas, a beautiful venue she had been dreaming about since high school. Thanks to planners Hannah and Emily, her ideas, some well-thoughtout, others just wishes she’d had, came together seamlessly. “I had their planners help put all my ideas together!” she said, emphasizing how great they were at turning her scattered thoughts into reality. The day was filled with personal touches that reflected their spontaneous and adventurous spirits.
The ceremony was heartfelt but lowkey. Larissa and Jon exchanged vows in front of close friends and family, each moment filled with authenticity and ease. It wasn’t about the pomp and circumstance, it was about them, together, ready to begin the next chapter of their life.
The reception was full of surprises, with Larissa and Jon breaking tradition in their own way. Instead of giving their wedding party the usual gifts, they handed out custom bobbleheads. The laughter and cheers when the gifts were
unwrapped set the tone for a night of fun and dancing. They kept the energy high with a scavenger hunt game, getting everyone involved and ready for the dance floor.
Elaine and Miranda, the photographer and videographer duo, captured every moment flawlessly, making sure the day was documented just as it had been lived - fun, authentic, and full of love.
After the wedding, the couple jetted off to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, for a honeymoon filled with snowboarding, exploring Yellowstone, and experiencing the natural beauty around them. It was an adventurous end to the whirlwind journey that brought them to this point.
Their love story wasn’t conventional, but that’s exactly how they wanted it… unpredictable, exciting, and undeniably theirs. As far as they were concerned, this was just the beginning of their most exciting chapter yet.
Bride’s Advice: ”Take your time and make a couple of lists of things that are a must and things you can do without. Get a planner!! You never really know what you have to get done until the last minute and then you are panicking to double check that everything was booked or reserved.”

When the relentless summer heat of Houston starts to wear you down, there’s a perfect escape waiting just a few hours away: Kimpton Mas Olas in Baja California Sur, Mexico. A quick three-hour direct flight from Houston whisks you to Los Cabos International Airport, followed by a scenic drive to this luxurious oasis. In September, the summer crowds have thinned, the weather is spectacular, and the vibe is pure relaxation. It was exactly what I needed.
My recent stay at Kimpton Mas Olas felt like I was stepping into a dream after a stress and heat filled Texas summer. Every moment of my stay was breathtaking from my luxurious accommodation in my ocean front villa, farm to table fine dining, and the relaxing spa.
I was greeted with a refreshing hibiscus agua fresca and a warm “bienvenidos” from the staff as soon as I arrived. The resort’s modern design is infused with Mexican charm, featuring earthy tones, handpainted tiles, and lush greenery. It is clear that every detail was curated to create a tranquil and luxurious environment. The open-air lobby set the stage for what would be a restorative few days. The ocean breeze and desert garden instantly melting away the stress and sadness I was carrying.
I was taken to my beautifully decorated villa which included handwoven rugs, local pottery, rain shower, and outdoor shower. Sliding glass doors opened to a private balcony with a cozy daybed and a private plunge pool. The plunge pool and outdoor shower were used daily while listening to the ocean waves.
Kimpton Mas Olas and Michelin experienced Culinary Director Chef Sandro Falbo take dining seriously. With a focus on fresh, locally sourced ingredients, the resort’s farm-totable philosophy shines through in every dish. I began my mornings at Centro, eating my breakfast and drinking my locally roasted coffee with an elevated view over the pools and a perfect view of the ocean

and the sound of the waves. I could not resist the breakfast tacos. I would come back for a light lunch with seafood options that were scrumptious but did not leave me feeling too heavy. The lush grounds were available if I did happen to overindulge on the house-made guacamole served with crispy tortilla chips. Dinner was the highlight every day. Each evening, the chef showcased his creativity with a rotating menu inspired by Baja’s bountiful ingredients at two different restaurants: Botánica and Kahal. You do not want to miss the sunset at Kahal. It is an Instagram moment.

There are other activities including fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving, golf, surfing and walking through the artist community and galleries close by the resort.
Kimpton Mas Olas exceeded every expectation. This adults-only resort is more than a destination – it is an experience that lingers and impacts you after you leave. Whether you are looking to decompress, celebrate a special occasion – birthday, girls’ trip, bachelorette party, honeymoon, or simply bask in the beauty of Baja, pack your bags and head to Kimpton Mas Olas. Paradise is just a short flight away.
Jennifer Sebasigari, our most recent billboard bride, may have seemed predestined for the role, what with her sizable social media following and glamorous looks served in her stunning Ventura’s Bridal Fashions dress, but there is much more to her story.
Jennifer moved to Austin 25 years ago as a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Just 12 years old, but she was already hustling. In the refugee camp she helped her mother make money selling homemade chapati, a flatter and denser counterpart to what you may be more familiar with as naan. At 13 she worked her first job, illegally housekeeping for commercial companies to make ends meet. Later her family purchased a home in Leander. Her father had previously come to the United States in the 70s to get a master’s degree at the University of Michigan and later became a diplomat in Congo. Her mother looked after the home, but later acquired a career in government, working with the IRS.
Being a child was hard, but having children is harder. With 6 other sisters, Jennifer remarked, “Having kids in America is a bill.” While she wants children, she has yet to have any, instead working on her career. So far, she has lived in Austin, Houston, Dallas, Lubbock, and Florida. Florida has been her favorite; however, she spent most of her time there working and developing her culinary skills. While working at Disney in Florida she worked every day for weeks at seven different restaurants interning and networking.
She has worked in the culinary industry her entire life. When asked with what she would tell her younger self now with the knowledge she’s gained, she said “Get a mentor.” She further commented that should she have had a mentor to help her she would have developed far further than she is now. Now she’s taken the initiative to be that presence to others and mentors many young girls, encouraging them to succeed.
Jennifer originally wanted to be a Michelin star chef but thought the field was too scientific. Instead, she focuses on a more homestyle cooking. Her focus is barbecue which is popular in Congo. Jennifer notes that while Texan barbecue is often spicy and slow cooked, she grew up with a style of

cooking focused on spices and direct heat cooking. Despite her fondness for barbecue, Jennifer’s favorite food is crawfish!
Her culinary career is further present in her passion for hunting and butchering which has been around her whole life. Before the war in Congo, Jennifer visited family to work on their farms in the summers, however she says she thinks she is more suited for city living. Her ideal place to live would be New York or Chicago.
Now Jennifer is a full-time social media influencer creating content for herself and other culinary brands, as well as working as a client engagement specialist for businesses trying to expand, all while assisting her fiancé Zeta in his endeavors in the energy industry. You can follow her on Instagram @JenniferSebasigari. Her wedding this coming December will be at Chateau Nouveau.

A bridal tea party offers a charming and elegant alternative to a traditional bridal shower, providing close friends and family with an intimate way to celebrate the bride-to-be. This gathering can be tailored to reflect the bride’s unique style, incorporating her preferred theme, wedding colors, and favorite flavors. The timeless tradition of afternoon tea, which dates back to the 19th century, is a celebration that adds a touch of sophistication to any pre-wedding event.
Hosting a bridal tea party at your home can create a charming and personal touch. Start by setting the scene with an enchanting atmosphere, beginning with the table presentation. To create the perfect ambience, drape the table with a delicate tablecloth, adorn the table with flowers, and arrange beautiful teacups and saucers for each guest.
A three-tiered cake stand is traditional to arrange the delightful menu you have planned, featuring a selection of teas paired with light bites. Popular choices include dainty finger sandwiches with classic fillings like sliced cucumber, egg salad, and smoked salmon. No tea party is complete without freshly baked scones served with jam and cream, as well as an assortment of sweet treats such as cupcakes, cookies, pastries, and fresh fruit.
Table etiquette is a set of social customs and manners recommended when attending a tea party. Teach your guests how to follow a few of the time-honored traditions. For example, stir your tea gently without clinking the spoon against the teacup. Hold the teacup by the handle and take small quiet sips. Contrary to popular belief it is not acceptable to hold your pinky up while drinking. Never pick up the saucer when drinking if you are sitting down, this is only suggested when standing. Encourage your guests to engage in polite conversation.
Keep the energy fun and light by playing a few games. Test the guests’ knowledge about the bride with a trivia game including questions like “Where did the couple meet?” or “What is the bride’s favorite color?” As a sentimental keepsake for the bride, have the guests write down some advice or well wishes she can read after the party.
Create a bridal tea party that will be cherished by the bride and her guests for years to come. It’s a memorable pre-wedding event that provides the bride with a moment to relax, celebrate, and feel truly special before she says, “I do.”

1 egg
Instructions:
