Damage to Brick Court after the raid of 15th October, 1940
By the end of the war Middle Temple had lost 122 of its 285 sets of chambers, giving rise to a massive task of reconstruction. Miraculously, however, in the whole of the war there were no fatalities in the Inns caused by enemy action.
