INTRODUCTION The following slides are based Brenda Coleman and Dr. Deborah Thomas session on Alabama Educator Code of Ethics. Its adherence to fairness and federal and state standards in relationship to teaching and learning. Determine ways to use multiple sources of research based on instructional strategies that may be implemented to improve teacher practice and ultimately improve student achievement.

Standards for Instructional Leaders 2. Teaching and Learning Promotes and monitors the success of all students in the learning environment by; collaboratively aligning the curriculum aligning the instruction and the assessment process to ensure effective student achievement Using a verity of benchmarks, learning expectations, and feedback measures to assure accountability.


Standards for Instructional Leaders 3. Human Resources Develop Recruits, selects, organizes, evaluates, and mentors faculty and staff to accomplish school system goals. Works collaboratively with the school faculty and staff to plan and implement effective professional development that is based upon based upon student needs. Feedback from Workshop Participants 

Examples of unethical behaviors in the workplace:  Male coworkers having sex with their students  Making programs for church or service club on company computers and papers.  Pumping students for information about their family’s personal affairs.  Using company car for personal reasons.  Cheating on tests.  Not following the rules & regulations.  Inappropriate dress code  Lying on coworkers or employers.  Contributing to the delinquency of minors (buying alcohol or drugs or students, promoting sexual acts among students, assisting students to run away from home, etc.)
