Jamie Simpson ’03 graduated from Samford University with a B.S. degree in nursing. This past summer she made her third trip to India working with orphans, church planters, students and Mother Theresa homes in Delhi, Mumbai, Mussoorie, Puna and Calcutta. She is currently working as a registered nurse in Birmingham.

Rachel Bachmann ’05 was recently admitted to the Grady School of Journalism at The University of Georgia. She studied at Oxford University for six weeks this past summer.

Tyler Trew ’03 is in his first year of law school at Louisiana State University. Daniel Bradfield ’04 graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in May. President Bush was the commencement speaker and Daniel personally shook hands with him! Beth Gillem ’04 graduated from Auburn in August and is working on a master’s degree in global leadership at Dallas Baptist University, with the goal of a career in the field of international adoptions. Ben Clark ’04 graduated from Carson Newman College with Business Management Marketing Emphasis. He is currently working for Northwestern Mutual. Kristen Eddleman Steele ’04 is a Content Management Associate at Parthenon Publishing in Nashville. She is a May graduate of the UT-K College of Communications. Andrew Hogin ’04 studied abroad for the summer semester in Rome, Italy. He served as president of Sigma Chi last year at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. Ashlyne Huff ’04 has recently signed a record deal for a new label, Anderson For Artists. She will be recording in both Nashville and Stockholm, Louisiana and will be performing at various venues around the country.

Daniel Bradfield receives his diploma from the Air Force Academy from President George W. Bush. Daniel Bradfield ’04 is stationed in Fairbanks Alaska and serving as a civil/environmental engineer at Eielson AF Base.

Anne Littlejohn ’04 graduated cum laude in May from Florida State University with a B.S. in Interior Design. At FSU, Anne served as vice president of both Pi Beta Phi and the FSU Panhellenic Council. As a junior, Anne was the recipient of a scholarship from the Interior Design Department for outstanding contributions to the program. Anne has been awarded a full scholarship and teaching assistantship to Arizona State University this fall to pursue a graduate degree in Sustainable Design.

Rob Queener ’05 has successfully completed Officer Candidates School of the U.S. Marine Corps. The Platoon Leaders Class ’09 Program is in Quantico, Virginia and lasts 10 weeks. Rob, a senior at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, has until the end of his senior year to accept his commission upon graduation from UT-K. Katy Blackburn ’05 just finished her junior year at UTK where she is majoring in Logistics with a minor in Spanish. She has an internship at Alcoa in Knoxville and will be interning with Alcoa from July to December and then will resume classes at UTK in January, 2009. She also continues to do volunteer work with HOPE ministries Julia Crownover ’05 lived in Chennai, India, for a month during January, 2008, while volunteering at an orphanage, old age home, and a women and children’s shelter. She is currently a student at Birmingham Southern.

Courtenay Davis ’05, a rising senior at the University of Alabama, is majoring in Apparel and Fashion Design. She interned with Hable Construction Company, a fabric design company, in New York City this past summer. Andrew Nickerson ’05 is at Lipscomb University, where he plays middle infield on the Bison baseball team. Unfortunately, he had a shoulder injury and surgery, and had to take a red-shirt year, but expects to be back full strength for the 2008-2009 season. Andrew is a Business Management major. Michael Pelster ’05 is one of only six juniors at Vanderbilt University selected for membership into Phi Beta Kappa. Michael is majoring in Spanish and Music and minoring in Chemistry. He hopes to attend medical school after graduation. Michael is active in the Alternative Spring Break program and Pencil Projects and volunteers as a Spanish medical interpreter. He has also served as House Manager and Vice President of his fraternity. Elizabeth Raymond ’05 has been named captain of Orange Pride at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. The group acts as student ambassadors for the University with campus visitors and prospective student athletes.

Amy Pettus ’04 graduated from the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing. She married Robert Knapke of Columbus, OH in September and is beginning a job in Neurosciences at the University of Cincinnati Hospital in November after a medical mission trip to Tanzania. Shay Laws ’04 is working with Teach for America, a nonprofit education organization. Shay is teaching K-3 special education students in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is a graduate of DePauw University.
