Robert Drew Global Logistics Manager, Tata International With a career spanning more than 50 years, Robert Drew has experience in all facets of international logistics. He began his career at Maher Terminals, where he rose the position of Vice President responsible for all breakbulk, lumber, steel and distribution center operations. He later joined Panobulk America Inc., part of Pan Ocean Shipping. His 27-year tenure, culminating as president of North American operations, involved a key role in developing and managing Pan Ocean’s extensive steel, wood products, tanker and car carrier services. Upon retirement from Panobulk, Drew formed DLW Logistics, providing transportation services primarily to the steel and wood products industries. In his current role with Tata International, his responsibilities include managing chartering, logistics and transportation related strategies in support of global trading efforts. Tata International is the global trading Arm of Tata Group, operating in 80 countries with group revenue of US$108.8 billion and 610,000 people, ranks 11th among the world’s most reputable companies. Tata International has worldwide revenues exceeding US$2.2 billion, and 10,000 employees working in 49 worldwide offices. The company operates five business verticals, specializing in manufacturing, trading and distribution of metal products, minerals, agri-trading and leather and leather products. The Metals Division handles a variety of steel products via five regional hubs – HQ in London, Europe Hub, Americas, Asia, Middle East & Africa and Indian Subcontinent.

BJ Dykstra Logistics Manager, Nordex/Acciona Windpower A native of Iowa and graduate of Villanova University, BJ Dykstra has worked in the wind power industry for eight years for Acciona Windpower, now Nordex/Acciona Windpower. He began his career as a manager in production control and warehousing before moving to a three-year stint as materials manager. In his next position, as logistics manager for execution and supplier contracts, his duties included managing international and domestic logistics for Acciona and project provider selection. He has recently been assigned to Nordex/Acciona’s head office in Chicago, where he will continue his logistics management duties along with the addition of global sourcing functions. Nordex/Acciona Windpower offers powerful wind turbines for nearly all geographical regions across the globe. The group combines decades of experience in design, construction and operation of wind turbines, delivering more than 18 GW of sustainable energy worldwide. Nordex SE, the management holding company, is headquartered in Rostock; its board and administration based in Hamburg. With factories in five countries,

the group produces many of its own components, and covers the whole technical valued-added chain with its products and services. The group has offices and subsidiaries in more than 25 countries with a total global headcount of over 4,800 employees.

Jonathan Lamb President – Lake Superior Warehousing, Duluth Cargo Connect Jonathan Lamb serves as president of Lake Superior Warehousing, managing agent of the Duluth Seaway Port Authority’s general cargo facilities. Prior to joining LSW, Lamb worked for BNSF Railway in the operations and finance groups. A graduate of St. Olaf College, Lamb has more than 20 years of experience working with business and industry professionals and representatives of state and local government. Duluth Cargo Connect is a working partnership of Duluth Seaway Port Authority and Lake Superior Warehousing. Duluth Cargo Connect provides seamless cargo handling, storage, distribution and transportation logistics services for breakbulk, heavy lift and other project cargoes moving in and out of North America’s Heartland via the Port of Duluth. The company was ranked Number One Port in North America by the Railway Industrial Clearance Association in 2015.

Dennis Pfeffer Liner Manager, FALLine, Fednav Dennis Pfeffer, Liner Manager for Fednav Atlantic Lakes Line (FALLine), holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree cum laude with majors in accounting and finance and a minor in economics from Concordia University, Montreal. Pfeffer joined the Fednav team in Montreal in 1974. He transferred to Fednav Antwerp Belgium as Liner Manager FALLine Europe in 1987-2000. Along with his colleagues, Pfeffer is responsible for maintaining and developing Fednav’s Great Lakes service. He is chairman of the Fednav Community Employee Committee as well as Chairman of the 690 Lakeshore Squadron Royal Air Cadet Sponsoring Committee. Fednav International Ltd. (FIL), the freight arm of Fednav Ltd. ship-owning company with offices worldwide, oversees ocean freighting of bulk and breakbulk cargoes. FIL’s fleet of about 85 vessels performs more than 700 voyages and transports about 25 million tonnes of cargo annually. Fednav Atlantic Lakes Line (FALLine) is a regular liner service, in its 57th year, with 50 to 60 sailings annually, that specializes in the transportation of steel and general cargo from Northern Europe to the St. Lawrence and Great Lakes.
