t’s a declaration of intent: music and people, dancing and romancing as a life-force. The fact that any decent party should include the proverbial promise of sex and drugs and rock ‘n roll also accounts for the choice of the name of this band…! It was love at first sight when Danny Mommens, at that time dEUS bassist, and his blonde goddess Els Pynoo first met in 1997. The two lovers decided to combine their talents and create an entire universe dedicated to glamour, humour, and love: Vive La Fête! The musical combination is pretty surprising too! VLF is a bit of 80’s pop, cold wave, the best kind of electronica, a smidgen of rock and the voice and lyrics of 60s French songstresses under the influence of Serge Gainsbourg… The cocktail is one hell of a unique explosion! After their first albums (2000’s/01’s Attaque Surprise and Republique Populaire) VLF were spotted by Karl Lagerfeld, who declared himself their number one fan! They did the music to accompany Chanel shows in Paris, Tokyo and Las Vegas. There came more albums (Nuit Blanche, Grand Prix and Jour De Chance), and now the entire world eats from the hands of sex symbol Els and night raven Danny. Their sexy French touch Electro Rock has won the hottest clubs all over the world!

ie erklärte Absicht des Abends lautet: Musik, Partypeople, Tanzen und Romanzen. Die Tatsache, dass eine echte Party das berühmte Versprechen „Sex, Drugs und Rock ’n’ Roll“ halten soll, spielt auch bei der Wahl des Namens dieser Band mit hinein...! Es war Liebe auf den ersten Blick, als Danny Mommens, damals Bassist bei dEUS, und seine blonde Göttin Els Pynoo sich 1997 begegneten. Die Liebenden entschieden sich, ihre Talente zu bündeln und ein ganzes Universum aus Glamour, Humor und Liebe zu schaffen: Vive La Fête! Ihre musikalischer Mix ist überraschend: VLF mischt 80er-Jahre-Pop mit Cold Wave und dem Besten aus Elektro und Rock, gepaart mit der Stimme und den Liedtexten der Chansonniers der 60er Jahre à la Serge Gainsbourg… Der Cocktail ist eine einzigartige Explosion! Nach den ersten Alben (Attaque Surprise, 2000, und Republique Populaire, 2001) wurde VLF direkt von Karl Lagerfeld entdeckt, der ein absoluter Fan ist! Die belgische Band komponierte die Musik für Shows von Chanel in Paris, Tokio und Las Vegas.
