Daltec Friction drive All Daltec drive units are equipped with a friction drive pulling wheel. This unique principle transmits the power to the cable only by means of a gentle friction grip on the cable discs. The friction is divided over all the discs in the drive unit which gives a gentle, yet powerful drive with low energy consumption. In large plants with long pipelines, it is easy to mount more drives on the same string. All drive units contain a combined manual and automatic tensioning device and a speed sensor. Electric sensors operate steady and exact for many years, which improve safety for the system and service people. The sensors are also ideal for use in systems for portion feeding.
