A message from the President

Everyone is tired of hearing the phrases “unprecedented times”, “abundance of caution”, “public health restrictions”, “social distancing”, and the like. The challenges we have all faced over the past 24 months, both personally and professionally, have taken a very heavy toll on our physical and mental well being. It is now in particular that the strength of our community is tested to its limits. As a Chamber of Commerce, we are stronger united together as a group of like-minded businesses and professional. No single enterprise can operate without support from clients, suppliers, contractors, and service professionals. In these times, when we are forced to adapt our business practices to suit the ever-changing challenges in front of us, we need that support from our business community more than ever. Chamber Members have the distinct advantage of a stronger voice with our government leaders, a stronger network of support services, suppliers, and potential customers, a community of leaders striving for greater prosperity of our community as a whole. Our businesses exist in an ever-changing dynamic environment. Our supply chains stretch globally. Our labour markets fluctuate with changes to regulatory frameworks imposed by our governments. Our global markets face pressures of trade disputes, pandemics, wars, and all kinds of external factors. We cannot thrive in a vacuum, and so we all rely on our deep connections to other businesses,

Lean on the support from other Chamber members to help you through difficult and changing paradigms of conducting business. Each year our business community grows; new, innovative businesses enter the Brantford area and offer new solutions to existing chamber members looking for suppliers, contractors, service providers, and resources to help you compete more strongly on the global stage. As a chamber, our goal is to connect businesses in a way that makes the collective whole stronger than the sum of its parts. With each year, we issue a new up-to-date membership directory that showcases the vast capabilities of our local economy, and gives you, the chamber member, access to the collective strength of our entire membership. Take advantage of the other Member companies in the Chamber of Commerce. The challenges you are facing are likely the same that the rest of the business community is facing as well, and we can support each other in finding new and creative ways to adapt our business operations to suit the needs of today.
