Missouri State University Missouri State University (or “MSU”), whose main campus is located in Springfield, is a public, comprehensive university system with a mission in public affairs that seeks to develop fully educated persons with a focus on ethical leadership, cultural competence and community engagement. With nearly 23,000 students, MSU is the second largest university in Missouri. Students at MSU have the opportunity to complete a four-year degree in one of 85 undergraduate major or 45 graduate degree programs. MSU stu-

dents and alumni proudly display their maroon and gray, and are loyal supporters of their Bears (and Lady Bears) athletic programs, including NCAA Division I, Missouri Valley Conference football, men’s and women’s basketball and soccer, baseball, softball and women’s volleyball.
