SIX EXPERIENCES FOR YOUR

Ozark Mountain Vacation The recipe for a perfect Ozark mountain vacation includes equal parts stunning scenery, marvelous music and fabulous food and drink, mixed together over several days. It’s filed in your recipe rolodex under Branson. When it comes time to plan your travels, make sure these six experiences are part of your itinerary:

BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS There are many great spots from which to watch one of Mother Nature’s best daily performances, but the view from the outdoor patio at Osage Restaurant, part of the Top of the Rock Ozarks Heritage Preserve, is tough to beat.

FAMILY SHOWS Traditional shows such as the Baldknobbers Jamboree and the Presleys’ Country Jubilee certainly are focused on family. Dixie Stampede is a favorite for all ages as well, especially kids who are wowed by the pageantry (and the chance to eat a full meal using only their hands.)

OUTDOOR FUN Whether you have your own boat or rent one, or simply take a stroll along the shoreline, Table Rock Lake is a premier destination in the Midwest, thanks to its beautiful tree-lined shores. Lilley’s Landing offers resort amenities and has quick access to Lake Taneycomo, one of the top troutfishing lakes in Missouri.

COMFORT FOOD Plenty of Branson restaurants dish up comfort foods, whether it’s the big breakfasts at Billy Gail’s, the amazing burgers at Billy Bob’s Dairyland, the barbecue at Danna’s, Ruby Lena’s Tea Room on Main Street or the country fried steaks at Fall Creek Steak and Catfish House.

COOL CAVES Marvel Cave is one of the premier attractions inside Silver Dollar City, one of the country’s most-popular theme park destinations, and the formations inside Talking Rocks Cavern will leave you awestruck. And don’t forget the Lost Canyon Cave at Top of the Rock – it’s part of the Lost Canyon Cave and Nature Trail tour.

SIPPING SPOTS There’s something special about the tasting room experience at Copper Run Distillery, the first legal moonshiner in the Missouri Ozarks. Adult beverages, as crafted by the folks at Crown Valley Distillery and Bistro, are available on the Highway 76 Entertainment Corridor, while Branson Landing’s Smith Creek Moonshine shop lets you taste a variety of flavors, including a delightful Apple Pie moonshine.
