Page 1

All students, from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12, follow the IB curriculum:

• Primary Years Programme (JK–Grade 6)

• Middle Years Programme (Grades 7–10)

• Diploma Programme (Grades 11–12)

All Branksome Hall students take IB Diploma courses in Grades 11 and 12, and students are eligible to complete both the IB Diploma and the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) which makes our graduates uniquely prepared for the rigor of a university education.

IN AND OF THE CITY OF TORONTO

Our graduates represent the cultural diversity of the city as Branksome Hall is located in midtown Toronto, with many students taking public transit to school. Toronto has long been recognized as one of the most multicultural cities in the world, with more than 230 different nationalities, approximately 200 different languages spoken and 140 different neighbourhoods of distinct character and vibrancy.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

For thousands of years, the land on which Branksome operates has been the traditional land of the Huron-Wendat, the Seneca, and most recently, the Mississaugas of the Credit River. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous peoples from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work and go to school on this land.

WHAT BRANKSOME OFFERS

With today’s exponential pace of change and the complexities of our current global context, tomorrow’s leaders will need to think differently and navigate uncertainty. Branksome Hall is preparing leaders who will not only meet this need, but are already shaping that future.

TOMORROW’S ENTREPRENEURS

Branksome’s Noodle accelerator program brings student business ideas to life. Each year, Branksome students develop and pitch their ideas to a panel of experts with the hope of securing $10,000 of seed financing, and more importantly, the mentorship of local business leaders.

TOMORROW’S LEADERS IN AI AND MACHINE LEARNING

Competing at the provincial and national level, Branksome Hall’s robotics team represents the future of STEM.

A GLOBAL PERSPECTIVE

Every year, the entire freshman class travels to Branksome Hall Asia, our sister school on Jeju Island, South Korea, to collaborate with their peers on a STEM-themed project exploring sustainable energy and wind turbines.

CREATIVITY ON DISPLAY

Understanding the importance of the Arts as both inspiration and an outlet for student creativity, Branksome Hall is proud of the level of engagement of the student body in dance, music, theatre, film and visual arts.

IMPACT IN THE GREATER COMMUNITY

Building on our core value of a sense of community, Branksome is thrilled to partner with Let’s Grow Learning and Living Hub, a Toronto-based day program for medically complex, physically disabled adults. Collaborating with our Grade 10 drama class, they reimagine typical theatre experiences by exploring relaxed performances. Let’s Grow also uses the Branksome athletic facilities in order to provide physical activities supported by Branksome Hall student volunteers.

CONFIDENT VOICES

Branksome Hall has a long tradition of developing nationalcalibre public speakers and debaters willing to tackle the most pressing issues of today.

LEADERSHIP & INNOVATION BY DESIGN

With construction well underway, Branksome’s new Innovation Centre and Studio Theatre (iCAST) building—the first of its kind in a Canadian school in the JK–Grade 12 space—will bring students together under one roof with scholars, industry leaders, artists, scientists and entrepreneurs. Armed with
