Use and/or Possession of a Drug or drug-like substance and/or Alcohol and/or Drug

Paraphernalia (C0701 – C0713, D0501, D0502, D1201, D1301): a student unlawfully possesses, uses or is under the infl uence of alcohol, a drug, drug paraphernalia, or any substance or paraphernalia consistent with the defi ni ons of these substances or paraphernalia.

Grades K – 5: Level IV Off ense Grades 6 – 12: Level IV Off ense

First Off ense Required:

• Staff /student conference • Parent/Guardian no fi ca on and conference • Referral to support services and/or social service agency • Mandatory drug/alcohol screening by a licensed agency • Police no fi ca on • DOE eSchool Incident Report fi led as required by law • Suspension 2nd - 5th grade only (1-2 days)

Subsequent Off enses Required:

• Staff /student conference • Parent/Guardian mandatory mee ng • Referral to support services and/or social service agency • Mandatory drug/alcohol evalua on/ assessment by licensed agency • Police no fi ca on • DOE eSchool Incident Report fi led as required by law • Suspension (2-3 days)
