Dangerous Instrument(s) Possession/Concealment/Sale: the unauthorized possession/ concealment/sale by a student in the school environment of any instrument, ar cle, or substance which is readily capable of causing serious physical injury or death. Deadly Weapon(s) Possession/Concealment/ Sale: shall mean the possession, concealment, or sale of a deadly weapon in the school environment.

Grades K – 5: Level IV Off ense Grades 6 – 12: Level IV Off ense

First Off ense Required:

• Staff /student conference • Parent/Guardian no fi ca on and conference • Nearpod (SEL) lesson assignment, if applicable • Referral to support services and/or

MTSS Problem Solving Team • Police no fi ca on, only if necessary • DOE eSchool Incident Report fi led as required by law Op onal: • Suspension 2nd - 5th grade only (1-2 days)

Subsequent Off enses Required:

• Staff /student conference • Parent/Guardian mandatory mee ng • Posi ve Behavior Support Plan • Referral to support services and/or social service agency • Police no fi ca on, only if necessary • DOE eSchool Incident Report fi led as required by law • Suspension (1-3 days)

First Off ense Required:

• Staff /student conference • Parent/Guardian no fi ca on and conference • Referral to support services and/or social service agency • Police no fi ca on • DOE eSchool Incident Report will be filed as required by law • Suspension (1-3 days)

Op onal: • Referral to Alterna ve Placement
