Iron Pastor’s Google Hangout Kevin Bordeaux Question: - How did you get people buy-in to your re-launch and new vision? o All about vision and mission  Make them simple. Easy enough for people to remember and repeat. o Inform people of mission and vision in order to give them an on-ramp to get involved.  This helps build teams  Book recommendation: “Church Unique” by Will Mancini - Ideas on breaking the 65 and 125 growth barriers. (these numbers are ADULTS ONLY, kids not included) o A pastor can break these barriers with their charisma and relationships. o Two types of outreach can help you:  Kingdom Outreach: Charity outreach, not expecting anything in return. (giving away water bottles, etc.)  Promotion: Doing things while expecting results. (Google Adwords, Facebook, Etc.) o Make your Next Steps CLEAR! o Always pay attention to your “passive outreach”:  Facebook: promote the EVENTS, they are searching for your church on Google.  Google Adwords  You can check your website analytics (visits) with: Google Analytics and downloading the app “Fish Head”  Search Engine Optimization: (business recommendation: “Boostability”) - Each family in your church will give about $1000 per year. If you put money into promotion, and gain a family out of it, they will pay for the promotion themselves. - Don’t put a BAD quality video on your website. It’s better to have a great quality audio, than a mediocre quality video. - How do you clearly communicate Next Steps? o Guests:  Each 1st time guest gets a card with the next steps, Growth Track, on it.  They get The Life book (provided for free by the Gideons).  They are clearly discussed during step 1, Newcomers Coffee. o Congregation:  Prepare each member to get to their next step.  Always talk about it.  Equip them practically. - Breaking the 200 growth barrier: o MUST move responsibility to others in the church. o Pastor move from caretaker to coach.  The pastor can’t do everything!

If they come to the egg hunt on Saturday they will NOT be at church on Sunday. Bring them TO YOUR CAMPUS! o Direct Mail pieces to go out.  Use direct mailers, but give the piece value. Make them bring it in to church for a grand prize opportunity. Next Meeting: APRIL 15 @ 1:30PM with DR. JIM WALL of Acts 2 Network!
