Bamboo is a tribe of flowering perennial evergreen plants in the grass family. Bamboo are some of the fastest-growing plants in the world, and a versatile raw product. Bamboo fiber is a unique biodegradable textile material, therefore allowing nature to return to nature. Bamboo textiles have antibacterial properties and a natural deodorizing effect. Bamboo fiber gives your skin a chance to breathe freely. Enjoy the feeling of ‘second skin’. Cotton is a soft, fluffy stable fiber that grows in a boll, or protective capsule, around the seeds of cotton plants. The fiber is most often spun into yarn or thread and used to make a soft, breathable textile. Cotton fiber has a large unstructured portion which allows the air to flow easily through the fiber and makes cotton very comfortable. Cotton also has a high absorbency power. Hypoallergenic: Cotton fabric rarely causes allergic reactions and wearing cotton is often recommended for those with skin allergies. Modal is a bio-based classified textil fiber made from the beech tree. Modal fabric is very soft, drapes well, resists creasing and has smooth lustrous finish. Modal is both absorvent and air permeable or breathable. It is cool to the touch. Linen is woven from the flowers of the Flax plant and is a completely natural resource. It is the most ecological fabric of them all, only the very best fibers are used by the linen industry. It is also a sustainable fabric since no part of the flax plant is wasted; the leftover linseeds, oil, straw and fibre are used in everything from oil and soap to cattle feed and paper. The careful transformation and finishing processes result in products which induce a feeling of pleasure and well being. Silk is one of the most popular fabrics for apparel because of its unique properties. It is the most luxurious, comfortable, and absorbent fiber, and the best for draping. Capable of the greatest lustre, silk is the strongest natural fiber having the finest “hand”. The protein fibre of silk is produced by certain insect larvae to form cocoons. The fabric is cool in summer due to the absorptive capacity and warm in winter as it does not conduct heat. Silk is believed to be associated with healing qualities.
