vanjaar met kosbewyse [vouchers] betaal, maar het onlangs 'n kennisgewing aan werkers uitgereik wat hulle in kennis stel dat hulle salaris van Oktober 2022 laat betaal sal word. In die kennisgewing wat deur die Waarnemende Munisipale Bestuurder, Sipho Thomas onderteken is, word werkers ingelig dat die munisipaliteit nie die salarisse van Oktober 2022 kan betaal nie, weens munisipale dienste wat nog nie aan die munisiapliteit betaal is nie en ook die gebrek aan inkomste uit verskeie ander bronne. Volgens die brief, wat ook deur die media ontvang is, vra die munisipaliteit onverskoning aan die werkers vir enige ongerief wat

“sukkelende huishoudings wat nie vir water en elektrisiteit betaal nie, het ‘n reuse impak op die munisipaliteit se inkomste…” daardeur veroorsaak word en onderneem hulle om die agterstallige salarisse binne ‘n tydperk van drie (3) weke te betaal. Die munisipaliteit se woordvoerder, Zongezile Ntjwabule, het aan die media gesê dat die munisipaliteit voordurend daarin sal poog om die invordering van broodnodige inkomste te verbeter. Ntjwabule het bygevoeg dat sukkelende huishoudings ‘n verdere hoë impak op die inkomste van die munisipaliteit het, omrede hulle vrygestel word om vir basiese dienste soos water en elektrisiteit te betaal. Wat ‘n groot rede tot kommer gee, is dat die LUR vir Vrystaatse Tesourie, Gadija Brown, onlangs gesê dat die Nasionale Tesourie 'n opdrag aan hulle uitgereik het dat geen reddingsboei meer aan Vrystaatse munisipaliteite verleen sal word nie. Volgens Brown weet almal dat die land se ekonomie onder groot druk is. “Daar is verskeie uitdagings wat bydrae tot die probleem. Inflasie het ook skerp gestyg. Daar word verder gepoog om meer werk in gemeenskappe te skep sodat meer persone kan bydra tot die betaal van belasting en tariewe. In terme van salarisse, toe ons na die begroting aan die begin van die jaar gekyk het, was daar voldoende fondse om salarisse regdeur die finansiële jaar te kon betaal en daar is riglyne aan hulle verskaf. Daar word probeer om munisipaliteite wat in die sop beland, te bring op 'n punt waar hulle na 'n bank kan gaan en aansoek vir 'n lening kan maak, totdat die salarisproses afgehandel is en wat natuurlik ooreenstem met die huidige boekjaar.”

Leerder wat vermoedelik onderwyseres met mes doodsteek word verbied om eksamen te skryf

Die 20-jarige Simphiwe Mondli, wat daarvan aangekla word dat hy sy eie onderwyseres vermoor het, sal sy matriekeksamen misloop. Die media berig die Brandfort-landdroshof het onlangs sy versoek om vrygelaat te word, om eksamen te skryf, geweier. Mondli het sy eerste verskyning in die hof gemaak waar sy prokureur gevra het dat Monddli toegelaat moet word om sy eksamen te skryf. Die staat het die versoek teengestaan en gesê ander leerders sal verdere net nog verdere trauma ervaar as hulle saam met hom die eksamen moet aflê. Mondli het na bewering die 35-jarige Matefo Mphosela onlangs by haar woning in Soutpan doodgesteek met ‘n mes. Die 20-jarige moordbeskuldigde wag nou vir sy verhoor, waar hy vrae moet beantwoord oor hoekom hy na bewering sy onderwyseres doodgesteek het, en wat gerug word, hom glo ‘aangeneem’ het. Dit het die departement se leerder-ondersteuningsprogramme onder die soeklig gebring. Die onderwyseres, Matefo Mphosela, se dood is onlangs bekend gemaak nadat een van haar leerders haar vermoedelik doodgesteek het. Die twee het glo ook saam gewoon. Vir eers bly die omstandighede wat tot die messteek gelei het 'n raaisel. Tate Makgoe, LUR vir onderwys in die Vrystaat, sê die wet moet sy eie roete volg en die saak moet deeglik ondersoek word. "So, wat presies daar gebeur het, moet die polisie in hulle ondersoek onthul. Baie gerugte word tans versprei en doen deesdae die rondte, maar ons moenie nou links en regs ons eie afleidings maak nie. As só iets gebeur, veral waar ‘n jong vrou betrokke is, maak mense altyd hulle eie stories
op, maar dit gaan niks help om sulke gerugte te versprei rondom die situasie nie. Moord is moord, en niemand het die reg om ‘n ander persoon se lewe te neem nie.” Daar is selfs gerugte dat die leerder en die onderwyser in ‘n romantiese verhouding betrokke was, aangesien hulle glo saam gebly het, maar dit word ten sterkste ontken. Mondli was nie wettig deur haar aangeneem nie, sy het bloot haar ondersteuning gegee aan ‘n leerder wat hulp nodig gehad het en dit het vereis dat hy haar gereeld moes besoek en in haar persoonlike ruimte moes wees. Die Suid-Afrikaanse Demokratiese Onderwysersunie sê voorvalle van hierdie aard, plaas die ‘onderwys’ in geheel in ‘n baie swak lig. Mokholoane Moloi, die Vrystaatse SADTU-sekretaris, sê: “Dit is veronderstel om ‘Onderwysers-maand’ te wees, waar ons die goeie werk wat alle onderwysers doen, te midde van die sterk uitdagings van hulle onveilige werksomstandighede, moet vier en dan ook daarmee saam, geslagsgebaseerde geweld, afknouery en dwelmmisbruik onder leerders van vandag. Al hierdie sosiale euwels wat in skole voorkom, kry onderwysers op amper op ‘n deurlopende en daaglikse basis mee te doen.” Mondli se saak was tot 31 Oktober uitgestel vir sy borgtogaansoek. Intussen het die Vrystaat se Departement van Onderwys die skool in Soutpan besoek om hulle innige simpatie en meegevoel met leerders te gaan betoon en hulle ondersteuning aan die leerders en haar [die onderwyseres] se kollegas te bied.

You can’t predict the future, none of us foresaw a pandemic that’s for sure! But data experts can strongly recommend what job you should pick for a successful future. When looking for one of the best jobs of the future, two considerations will be crucial: What jobs are or will be well-paying? And what jobs will expand dramatically as the world recovers from Covid19? There was already a tendency for redundancy as certain jobs were being phased out due to new tech and IT innovations. So we all need to upskill and upgrade our CVs. Have a look below at the jobs with the strongest and weakest growth rates (Using data from the USA Bureau of Labour Statistics), as predicted over the next 10 years. The 10 best jobs for the future include App developer, Computer systems analyst, Nurse practitioner, Physical Therapist, Health Services Manager, Market Research Analyst, and Personal Financial Adviser. These predictions take into consideration a world post Covid19, providing a good salary, as well as the job having manageable entry requirements. The 10 worst jobs for the future mention careers such as floral designer and furniture finisher, door-to-door sales person, and gaming cashier. Not coincidentally, these jobs cannot be done remotely, and also many involve handwork and craft work that may eventually become automated. Says Alida Hattingh of Boston Welkom, “We encourage the learner to stay ahead of the curve by ensuring they acquire valuable skills, stay relevant in their workplaces, and learn to operate the new tech.” “Automation has helped us shop, work, and learn from home, many people do not want to go back to a world where everything had to be done ‘in-person’. Grocery and clothes shopping
online boomed, and while many were ordered back to work, some employers appreciate the increased productivity of having people work from home and have adapted a fluid approach to ‘office hours and ‘office desk workspaces. Online education helped people adapt to a new world of remote learning, remote working, and digitization of jobs," she says. Computer systems analysts analyze data processing problems to develop and improve computer systems. With 53 000 new positions projected by 2026, and an average salary of up to R700 000 per year, IT seems a great place to start to develop a lucrative career. Software systems developers develop operating systems, and network software. The projected new positions for developers are double that of computer analysts in the USA. Computer and information systems managers plan, direct, and coordinate computer systems. With a Systems Development Diploma or Network Systems Diploma from Boston under your belt, you are looking at entering one of a projected 43 000 new jobs by 2026, and an earning potential starting at close to R200 000 per year. An alternative to studying for a medical degree would be to study business and then enter the medical industry as a Medical and Health services manager. With the explosion and regulation of healthcare services and medical insurance, there is a need for these graduates to plan, direct, or coordinate health services. Alida concludes that there is an appropriate career for every learner, and believes in matching skills and interests to your career path. “This is the formula for success. CORNÉ VAN NOORDWYK In die afgelope paar weke, of liewer die afgelope paar dae, het Suid-Afrika afskeid geneem van verskeie groot name in die vermaaklikheidswêreld. Jy self het seker reeds of gelees of gehoor van bekende akteurs en sangers wie ons moes groet? En vanoggend vroeg toe ek my sosiale media oopmaak, die nuus van die bekende radio-persoonlikheid, Jeremy Mansfield, wat sy stryd teen kanker verloor het. Dit bring my dadelik by die gedagte dat ons lewenslyntjie maar hier op aarde binne ‘n oogwink vir ons geknip kan word. In ons weeklikse Christelike kolom, lees ek Wilna Botha skryf dat ons moet vrede maak met ons vyande en die strydbyl liefs moet neersit. Ek wil nie haar onderwerp die week oorneem of oor dieselfde ding praat nie, maar dink daaroor. Gaan slaap elke aand met ‘n skoon gewete en weet jou saak is oral reggestel, by jouself en almal om jou. “Life is short, and every moment is precious. Die menslike en natuurlike optrede teen jou honger vyand sal dalk wees om jou te verlekker in sy situasie, jy kan dalk dink (en sê!): Jy wil mos! Kry nou vir jou! Ly nou maar lekker honger, jy wou my mos te na kom. Die Here se verwagting vir sy kinders is egter om téén die natuurlike gevoel op te tree. Dalk is dit tyd om die strydbyl te begrawe met daai familielid en hulle uit te nooi vir ’n ete. Dalk is dit tyd om dinge uit te sorteer met jou moeilike kollega by die werk – dit sal makliker wees rondom ’n koffie en ’n lekker skon. Dalk is dit tyd om dinge reg te stel met jou buurman wat jou te nagekom het – bedien hom met iets om te eet. Ek dink dis moeilik om nog kwaad te bly vir iemand wat na jou uitreik met ’n bordjie eetgoed, of saam met jou om ’n tafel sit en eet. Wanneer mens sáám eet, ontlok dit gesprekke. Wanneer mens sáám rondom ’n tafel is, kom daar dalk ’n nuwe perspektief en ’n nuwe verstaan en medelye met die ander persoon. Kyk wat sê die teks sal die uiteinde wees: jou vyand sal skaam kry! Hy sal selfondersoek doen oor sy houding, hy sal vergewensgesind wees, hy sal sien dat jy hom respekteer ten spyte van sy optrede of gevoel teenoor jou. Is dit ’n maklike opdrag? Beslis nie. Is dit moontlik? Ek dink so. Kom ons gaan probeer dit. “Doen van julle kant af alles in julle vermoë om in vrede met ander mense te leef. Laat staan al julle wraakplanne, my liewe broers en susters. Dit plas glad nie by gelowiges nie.” (Rom 12:18-19)

En dis nie die eerste keer nie hoor. Die peppermint crispie wil nie ophou nie en Klitsie het nie nodig om te wonder wanneer die peppermint crispie ‘n paar klappe gaan kry nie. Los die Eva uit wat gevat is en gaan soek ‘n ander gewillige tertjie waarmee jy saam ‘n stukkie koek kan eet. Die ander tertjie (kom ons noem haar ‘n melktertjie) het ‘n gespierde Adam maar o nee dit wil voorkom of daar dalk ‘n te kort aan ander spiere is want onse melktert deel sommer haar nommer so op die slippie wat jy by die toonbank kry as jy klaar geshop het uit. Melktertjie het haar oog op ‘n sekere Adam en doen toe weer die slippie ding. Adam stel toe gelukkig nie belang nie en vertel vir Melktertjie dat hy allergies is vir melk en dit melktertjies ook insluit. Melktertie het nie opgegee tot die Adam se Eva haar mooi laat verstaan het om haar Adam uit te los of sy gaan wys vir die baas die slippie met die nommer. Nou ja toe. Melktert het hopelik die boodskap gekry om maar met haar Adam wat regtig gespierd en vreeslik sexy is te bly. Never a dull moment.. Klitsie

Bodacious Broccoli Salad Recipe Method
Place bacon in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain, and crumble. In a large bowl, combine broccoli, cheese, bacon and onion. Prepare the dressing in a small bowl by whisking together the red wine vinegar, sugar, pepper, salt, mayonnaise and lemon juice. Combine dressing with salad. Cover, and refrigerate until ready to serve.
