ission Tavern isn’t the kind of bar you stop into once. We hear over and over again, “This is my new favorite spot!” We see new faces quickly become regulars and soon bring friends. We know many customers who put on some miles to get here. The Tavern doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles but we have an awesome vibe, a positive atmosphere, and marquee sign out front with a great sense of humor. It doesn’t hurt to have great food to go
along with a well made drink or cold tap beer but our sign has become a popular attraction. We have a constant flow of traffic being on the main road between Brainerd and Crosslake. Commuters and weekenders comment on the sign and it’s ever changing messages. Owner Jeff McCulloch has realized he has an audience. “It’s entertaining, people look for the sign now and make sure I know they saw it. People text me ideas. It’s a great conversation piece and I’m glad it gives travelers and locals a chuckle.”
