YOUTH ARCHERY Ages 7-12 years Archery participants will learn the parts of an arrow and recurve bow, the basics of using a recurve bow, and fundamental shooting skills in a safe environment. They also will learn a nationally recognized beginner’s 9-step to the 10 ring progression which was created by the Coaches Development Committee of the National Archery Association. Through Tae Kwon Do students learn to become a leader not a follower, developing the “Yes, I can” attitude when facing daily challenges at home, school or work. A promotion test will be offered at the end of each session for those students who are ready to promote to the next belt rank. SUMMER 3-ON-3 RECREATIONAL BASKETBALL Ages 8-12 years Boys and girls will develop their dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding and defensive skills through short skills sessions each Thursday. The remaining time will involve game play that enables them to apply these skills. Youngsters will be assigned to different teams each week, and SportsKids Inc. coaches will referee games in a teaching style. Games will be played in a respectful, positive and safe environment with an emphasis on equal participation.
