Your local Action Group

Bourne Valley Action Group was set up by local people in July 2010. They wanted a cleaner neighbourhood and more activities for children & young people.

They’ve improved the planters on Arne Ave, created a new play area on the common and organised great community events. Check out Facebook and the Noticeboards for the latest information about the Group. They would welcome more help. Even if you can only spare an hour! Contact: Bob on 07719 942128 or email bvagvol@gmail.com.

£1 Million! Bourne, it’s yours!

Hello, I’m Sophie Cowdell, your Big Local Rep. In December 2012, the Bourne estate area was awarded £1m of Lottery funding through Big Local. I will be working with you for the next few months, to help get as many people as possible involved, and to develop projects that will help make the neighbourhood an even better place to live. The important thing is that the community gets to choose everything ! For more info please look at the notice boards around the area or get in touch sophie@commonplaces.co.uk
