The artificial vagina kit is composed of the following:

• 17” high resistance rigid tube with polyurethane paint, with water inlet tap that also allows air insufflation, reducing the final weight of the equipment. The rigid tube has an anatomical design for greater comfort for the stallion during semen collection.

• Latex mucosa with 1.2 mm thickness and high durability.

• Disposable plastic mucosa for better hygiene during semen collection.

• Collection cup coated with polyurethane, isothermal and protected from sunlight, providing ideal protection for freshly collected spermatozoa.

• Reusable bags that allow optimizing the use of the collection cup and maintaining hygiene during the semen collection.

Kit items can be purchased separately.

Also available is an artificial vagina for fractionated semen collection. Indicated for the diagnosis and semen collection in cases of hemospermia and pyospermia.

• Open-ended model artificial vagina, 12” high resistance rigid tube with polyurethane paint, with water inlet tap that also allows air insufflation, reducing the final weight of the equipment. The rigid tube has an anatomical design.

Botuai

BotuFlex is a highly versatile and safe system for cooling semen designed to provide adequate cooling curves, both at 5ºC and 15ºC.

Its sealing and density allow the shipped samples to reach their final destination at the appropriate temperature, even in adverse external temperature conditions.

For Artificial Insemination

BotuAI is a bottle for transporting cooled semen, which provides greater safety, practically and facilitates the identification of the shipped samples.

It avoids the use of plastic bags that may rip during transport, causing loss of the semen sample.

BotuAI’s lid has a design that makes it possible to directly attach the vial to the pipette, eliminating the use of syringes for artificial insemination.

Bovine semen extender

HIGHER PROTECTION & FERTILITY RATE FOR BOVINE CRYOPRESERVED SPERM.

BotuBov®’s formula contains innovative substances to protect bovine, buffaloes and small ruminants’ sperm integrity from cryodamages during the cooling and freezing process.

Researchers described higher Fixed-Time Artificial Insemination results for bull sperm cryopreserved in BotuBov compared to other extenders.

Furthermore, it can be used in FTAI programs with cooled semen. Scientific studies indicated:

• The use of BotuBov in association with the BotuFlex provides better sperm motility and a higher percentage of rapid spermatozoa in cooled bovine semen.

• Sperm samples extended in BotuBov showed higher in vitro quality parameters (motility, viability and sperm membrane integrity ) during refrigeration at 5ºC for up to 48 hours, being used as an alternative in AI and FTAI programs for buffaloes.

Canine semen extender

BotuDog[1] is an extender specially designed for handling, transport and artificial insemination of canine semen, with proven success.

How to prepare

Add the sachet’s content to the sterile water and shake well.

How to use

For cooled transport, dilute semen in a ratio of 2:1, 3:1 or 4:1 dilution (extender: semen) (v/v), according to the sperm concentration of ejaculate.

For better results in cooled semen transport, use BotuFLEX.

Composition

Casein, sugars, preservatives, and excipients.

Storage and stability

After mixing the contents of the sachet with sterile water, store it at 2 to 8oC for up to 3 days.

Pack of 2 diluent bottles containing 20 mL of sterile water and 2 sachets with 1.6g each.

Botudog Turbo

IMPROVE

BotuDog Turbo[1] is an extender designed to improve the vigor of slow-moving sperm. The formulation contains pentoxifylline, a substance that increases the speed of sperm movement. Recommended for dogs with low sperm vigor.

BotuDog Turbo is indicated in the handling and transporting of canine semen and artificial insemination.

How to prepare

Add the sachet’s content to the sterile water and shake well.

Freezing Of Dog Sperm

Extender developed exclusively for the cryopreservation of canine semen, with high rates of post-thawing sperm motility and viability[1]

Exclusive formulation designed to protect the integrity of canine sperm.

How to use

After semen collection, centrifuge raw semen at 600X for 6 minutes. Discard the supernatant and resuspend the sperm pellet with BotuDog Freezing at an appropriate sperm concentration. Pack and seal the straws. Stabilize the straws at 5oC for 1 hour. Then, straws should be frozen in nitrogen vapor (Styrofoam box), 3 cm above the liquid nitrogen level for 20 minutes. The straws must be placed in a water bath at 37oC for 30 seconds for thawing.

Store it frozen at -20ºC. After thawing, keep it refrigerated at 5ºC for up to 2 days.
