Borshch Electric joins the ranks of the IER Awards winners Borshch Electric won Best Large Independent Retailer Domestic Appliances 2017, sponsored by BEKO, at the IER Awards. An IER Award is a prestigious stamp of endorsement acknowledging outstanding service and dedication. Organised by Datateam Business Media, the IER Awards is designed to recognise innovation in the industry and reward the companies and individuals that demonstrate excellence in the way they operate or in what they produce. The IER Awards 25th Anniversary was a stunning event attended by hundreds of members in the electrical retailing sector. Guests were greeted with an exclusive drinks reception, sponsored by EPE Group, offering the opportunity to network with colleagues and peers, before proceeding into the main hall for the first half of the award presentations. Hosted by Gregor Muir and Alan Dedicoat, the first half of the ceremony honoured the efforts of independent electrical retailers, as nominated by the industry. Attendees then enjoyed a sumptuous three course meal, before playing a game of heads and tails and raising £705 for Demelza Children’s Hospice. The second half of the proceedings was dedicated to manufacturers and all of their hard work across the industry. Gregor Muir, editor of IER Magazine, said: “Many congratulations to all of the winners and highly commended at the IER Awards 2017. It was a hugely enjoyable evening, and my thanks go to the whole team behind the scenes. I hope all who attended enjoyed themselves, and are already planning on how they can take home a trophy next year.” Special projects and events manager Linda Dorling commented: “I am delighted with the engagement from members of the electrical retailing industry at this year’s IER Awards.
