His work has never been simply a job; it has always been a personal mission Today, he is the president and founder of Beltone-Skoric Hearing Aid Center, which has expanded to 37 locations across northern Michigan Throughout all his professional growth, Boro’s core mission has remained unchanged: to help people hear, feel, and live their lives more fully

From the Stage to the Clinic

Boro was born in Eastern Europe and now lives in West Palm Beach, Florida. His professional journey began in a very different industry music For over 30 years, he performed Serbian folk and Balkan music, collaborating with some of the finest local and international musicians Music has always been central to Skoric's life, beginning at eight in his hometown of Donji Stepci. He followed in the footsteps of his father and uncles, who were also musicians Initially starting with the guitar, he eventually discovered his true passion for the accordion, guided by a respected teacher In 1985, his talent was recognized when he was awarded the "First Accordion of North America and Canada "

When not working with hearing aid patients, Boro enjoys spending time in his home studio, recording acoustic music that he believes “caresses the soul ” He is also a devoted husband and father, striving to pass on his Serbian musical heritage to the next generation.

This early immersion in music helped Boro understand sound on a deeper level Over time, he learned that sound is a scientific phenomenon and a profoundly human experience. This realization inspired him to transition into the hearing care field, where he could help others rediscover the joy of sound that meant so much to him.

What Is an Audioprosthologist?

The term "audioprosthologist" may not be widely recognized, but the role is essential in hearing care An audioprosthologist specializes in diagnosing and treating hearing impairments, primarily through the fitting of hearing aids. While not a medical doctor, an audioprosthologist is trained to assess hearing problems and fit hearing aids to improve hearing Skoric is board-certified in hearing instrument sciences and has devoted his career to helping individuals navigate the often emotional process of restoring their hearing.

This is why Boro is so passionate about educating his patients For him, treating hearing loss goes beyond providing a technical solution; it is about raising awareness and encouraging early intervention Whether through personal consultations or community outreach, his goal remains clear: better hearing is attainable and within reach for everyone.

Hearing Aids: A Modern Solution to an Age-Old Problem
