Boro "Bob" Skoric
Boro "Bob" Skoric has spent almost 40 years helping individuals reconnect with the world through sound. As an audioprosthologist and board-certified hearing instrument specialist, he combines professional expertise with a sincere passion for his work. He is the founder and president of Beltone-Skoric Hearing Aid Center, which has grown to 37 locations across northern Michigan. His mission remains steadfast: to help people regain their hearing and quality of life. Bob Skoric resides in West Palm Beach, Florida, and is originally from Eastern Europe. His journey, however, began in music. He spent 30 years performing Serbian folk and Balkan music, both locally and internationally, gaining a deeper understanding of sound's emotional and personal significance. Growing up in Donji Stepci, he was inspired by his father and uncles, who played the guitar. At eight, he began playing the guitar before finding his true passion in the accordion, which he studied under a respected teacher. His hard work and talent earned him the title of “First Accordion of North America and Canada” in 1985. Skoric enjoys recording acoustic music in his home studio when not working with patients. He is also a devoted husband and father. His early exposure to music gave him a unique perspective on sound, one that views it as a science and a profoundly human experience. This understanding eventually led him to a career in hearing care, where he has been able to help many who had quietly retreated from the world due to hearing loss. Although he is not a medical doctor, he holds certification in audioprosthology and hearing instrument sciences, allowing him to evaluate hearing loss and fit patients with hearing aids. He is an active member of the International Hearing Society and has served as Vice President of the Michigan Alliance of Hearing Care Professionals. Having helped over 20,000 people regain hearing, Boro understands the life-changing impact of addressing hearing loss early.
