Competed for coach Dean Salvaggio at Webster Schroeder (NY) High School, where he was a two-time state champion and a five-time placewinner, never finishing lower than third ... finished his career with an astounding 238-14 record ... captured the New York state title at 145 lbs. as a senior thanks to a 15-0 win by technical fall over Michael Chaires of Christian Brothers Academy, and including a 6-1 record and third place finish at Senior Nationals, was 51-1 for the season ... also won the state championship as a sophomore, finishing with a perfect 46-0 ledger ... was 46-1 as a junior, placing third, and was second at the state championships as a freshman, finishing with a 43-3 record ... as an eighth grader, went 41-3 and was third at states ... also a five-time supersectional winner and five-time sectional champion, and finished fourth at Junior Nationals at 145 lbs. in 2004 ... also competed at Junior Nationals in 2002 and ‘03 ... holds school record for career wins.

} 2006-07

Finished the year with a 24-9 record, but it came to a premature end when he came into the EWL Tournament seeded second, then proceeded to lose both of his matches ... that came after he had won his previous seven matches ... picked up biggest win of career at Southern Scuffle, winning by decision over second-ranked Matt Keller of UT Chattanooga, 8-6 ... faced four ranked grapplers at the Southern Scuffle, placing sixth ... won the PSAC championship thanks to a 3-1 win over Division II national champion Joe Kemmerer of Kutztown ... eight of his losses came to nationally-ranked opponents.

} 2005-06

Qualified for Nationals despite a fifth place finish at the EWL Tournament while competing at 125 lbs., earning a wild card berth ... went 1-2 at Nationals, defeating William Simpson of Army in his first match, 4-1, but then suffered a 5-1 loss to EWL rival Mike Sees of Bloomsburg ... was eliminated by 10-3 decision to Frank Castillo of Northern Illinois ... finished with a 24-13 record, with 7 falls, 5 technical falls and 5 major decisions ... started season with a rush, going 16-3 at the beginning before winning just eight of his final 18 matches ... in fairness, ten of his losses came to ranked opponents, including three to Sees ... lost to Sees in PSAC championship by a 7-5 score in overtime, giving up a late takedown to send the match into overtime, and dropped a 2-1 decision in the dual match ... began career with third place finish at Eastern Michigan Open, and took home second place at the Missouri Open ... won by technical fall over Lock Haven’s Obenson Blanc, 16-0, but then dropped a 12-6 decision to Blanc in the dual match.
