THE COMPANY Riding a bike should be simple. Whether you are commuting twenty miles to work everyday or haven’t touched a bike in fifteen years, we build bikes with you in mind. Detroit Bikes are light and strong with features that enhance durability and quality of ride. Our mission is to encourage cycling by making an accessible, enjoyable bicycle while continuing Detroit’s legacy of quality manufacturing and design.

THE FACTORY Detroit Bikes are built in a city with manufacturing prowess and deep traditions of bicycle production, touring, recreational riding, commuting and racing. Each of our bikes are manufactured in the Motor City. We cut, bend, weld, paint, assemble and package every bike in our west Detroit factory. We are located on Detroit’s west side at 13639 Elmira Street.

THE PEOPLE Detroit Bikes are handcrafted by cyclists in the heart of the Motor City. We are skilled welders, wheel builders and linemen that are dedicated to constructing quality bicycles. Everyone at Detroit Bikes shares a passion for building simple, durable machines that you will love to ride. None of us at Detroit Bikes are the same size or shape so we create bikes to fit a wide range of individuals.

CUSTOM MANUFACTURING The versatility and durability of our bikes makes them a great choice for bike rentals and bike share programs. We offer several levels of pricing for individuals, companies and institutions looking to purchase 10 or more bikes. From orders of 10 bikes to orders of 10,000 bikes we offer several customization options including custom colors, parts, components, decals and head badges. Detroit Bikes also offers OEM manufacturing services.
