Travis Gidado ’08

Gidado ’08 Selected as Yenching Scholar Bolles alumnus Travis Gidado ’08 has been selected as a Yenching Scholar and will spend the 2016-17 academic year in the Master of China Studies program at Peking University. The Yenching Academy promotes interdisciplinary study of contemporary China, thinking about its development from both Chinese and international perspectives. As a fully-funded residential program at China’s top university, the Yenching Academy builds bridges between China and the world by gathering young people who show promise to lead and innovate in their fields. Gidado is completing a Master’s of Philosophy in Public Policy from the University of Cambridge while also serving as an intern in the Cabinet Office’s Social Investment and Finance Team. Previously, he served as a research analyst with Atlantic Media’s National Journal Group, an independent government affairs and public relations advisory outfit in Washington, D.C., and as a research associate intern with the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington. Immediately following his graduation from Yale University in 2012, Gidado spent two years at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in New York City working as a finance and corporate governance legal analyst with GS Bank USA, the firm’s commercial banking arm.
