SimPower is now in its third year and we are very proud with the quality of sale it has evolved into. The high customer satisfaction reports have been extremely impressive as the quality of cattle have adapted well into their new programs and offered a fast ROI. From start to finish, we couldn’t be prouder of the group of bred females on offer from leading producers that stand behind them 100%. Westway runs near 400 momma cows and they have offered the cream of the crop from their bred heifer pen with Andie and family selecting their very best to showcase their strong program. Mader Ranches has eight bred females that are deep in quality and backed by strong pedigrees with majority of them stemming from donor females (Envy, M30, 131Y, 17N, Iron Sugar) on the top or bottom side to ensure productivity. The Deeg family always open up the door and sell their best and we managed to get 2 more daughters from the now deceased High Idle (sire of their $32,000 FNL High Seller) along with an attractive red baldy female and once again another Captain Black whose females are great producers. Rancier has a trio of breds that are all out of influential donor cows that are strong phenotype and bred way along to leading sires. After Snides viewed the consignment from Jenna Olson at Silvertop, he immediately notified the rest of the BMS crew that she is bringing a feature to town and this bred is stacked with cow power and very fault free. Czech-Mate has a stout offering and we agree with them that it could be the best set of breds they have every offered as they are hard to fault in any way and will appease to the most critical of cattleman as they combine pedigree, phenotype and early services. First time consignors to the sale, Ultra Livestock have three excellent females that are all bred to the $40,000 Loaded Up x 532C son they acquired this spring and these breds are designed to produce. MAVV/MI brought the best from their black program and sired by Crosby and Joker grandsons, which will infuse maternal power into them and they all have attractive, early services to the famous Absolute bull. Wade Hannah allowed us to have the pick of his pen and the positive impact that High Roller has had on their cow herd for adding high quality females is evident in these two with a third heifer that is stacked with the Crosby/Poker Face combination. We welcome the Nolara program to the sale this year and Taylor was very impressed with the quality of heifers he was able to select and these two females are out of strong sires and bred way along to exciting bulls. A couple of pregnant recips will be on offer once again and we can only hope that they work as good for the new owners as the recips that have sold
in the past. Quality over Quantity is always our approach, we feel that this group of bred females is an ideal marketplace for you to source new and fresh genetics for your program at any budget. We encourage you to take in the 3rd Annual SimPower Sale but if you can’t attend, feel free to contact any of the BMS staff to represent your needs in a professional manner. We can’t emphasize enough the past success stories from SimPower as these cattle go out and work and have great ROI for the new buyers, take advantage of this sale and join us on November 30! Best regards,

Red Mystery is our first LFE Mountaineer 303C daughter to sell. We are very excited about the Mountaineer daughters to calve out this year. The Mountaineer sons had a good reputation at the bull sale this past year. Mountaineer is hard to beat when it comes to calving ease, and his dark red colour. The dam of Mystery is a beautiful TNT Bootlegger daughter that has a great foot and udder. Mystery is moderate, dark red, sound, and has lots of capacity. The breeding to WINC Live Ammo should add style and ideally, a baldy calf.

WFL Rose comes off a female we bought from Lewis Farms in 2014. Rose is much like her dam, she is deep bodied, attractive, and very complete. She was a twin, resulting in her 60lbs birth weight, but both her and her sister did excellent on and then off the cow. Her sire LRX Uncle Jeffery 56A will add some performance to the pedigree. Rose is a pen favourite because of her look, and structure. She is AI’d to a WFL Avalanche 21E, a dark red LFE Mountaineer 303C son, we used on our red heifers.

WFL Red Mint 736E is our darkest red female in our offering. She is sired by SVS Reddington 422B who was a dark red bull we used that had a good balance between calving ease and performance. Her dam is a black Ultimate Choice daughter that is big ribbed and long haired. Red Mint is long bodied, and sleeked necked which leaves her attractive through her front third. She is AI’d to WS Prime Beef. We calved out our first group of Prime Beef calves last winter and it was an easy decision to use him again this past breeding season. The Prime Beef sire group in our herd really excites us.

Our two black females we are offering come from two very influential cow families in our herd. WFL Black Sue Licious is a granddaughter to WFL Licious Sue 1047X a Redge daughter whom is a donor cow and a full sib to WFL Sweet Licious 1044X (Westcott’s mom). Black Sue Licious’s dam was an embryo daughter out of WFL 1047X and Lights Out. Black Sue Licious is a powerful, sound female that has a lot of performance in her pedigree. We only have a handful of black “Licious” cows so we think highly of this female. She is bred to WINC Live Ammo who is a black baldy calving ease bull. We calved out our first Live Ammo calves last winter and we loved the look of the calves as well as his calving ease. With this in mind we decided to breed most of our black replacement females to him again this past breeding season. This heifer is one to have your eye on! ce

This lady stems from the Hinsdale cow family, the Hinsdale cows were the base for our black herd. Her granddam was WFL 19N, a foundational female in our black genetics. WFL Ms Hinsdale 1725E is a MOES Mindtrip 902A daughter. The Mindtrip daughters are all functional, good uddered cows that are consistent. We sold a maternal sister to Ms Hinsdale last year to Circle G Simmentals. We love this heifer for her deepness, smoothness through her shoulder, and fleshing ability. This will be an awesome bull making cow. Bred to WINC Live Ammo.

Here is a red Walk This Way heifer out of a black Dictator dam. This pedigree therefore combines to of our very best cow families crossing Ironsugar 7X with Opal 652S. Bred early to the dark red, calving ease bull, WHF Limitless, should add more maternal strength and style.

A powerful, dark red, baldy female. She carries lots of volume and thickness, is stout over that top, wide through her chest floor, and very sound and functional. Her dam has a very well balanced udder, and is a problem free, productive cow. On the top side is Fugitive, a Godfather son out of our donor cow Lady Gold 131Y. One of the most influential red crosses for us on both the bull and female side of things. Her early service to the outcross red bull Mader Lieutenant will be exciting. Here is our extra age female in the offering this year. She carries so much volume and body capacity, and is setting up to have a real balanced udder attachment. Her dam is a dark red, superb footed and uddered cow who works hard year after year. These Game Changer daughters are making excellent cows. Our lead off Game Changer daughter sold to Downhill Simmentals last year and just weaned off a 920 lb bull calf as a first calver! Bred early to The National, who is a Riddler son out of our prolific donor cow, LFE Violet 641A. The National has so much softness, maternal strength, and an unreal set of EPDs.

Here is a real solid Morgan daughter out of an outcross donor cow. These embryos were purchased from Rust Mountain out of the New Years sale. We unfortunately lost this girls recip early summer so she was a bit slower developing off the get go, but has turned into a real deep flanked, full hearted, capacious female. I believe the resulting calf crossed with The National should be very interesting and marketable. We exhibited The National as a bull calf last fall, and with his prolific pedigree of Riddler and Violet 641A, and his superb set of numbers and phenotype, he is the type of bull who should calf easy and put a lot of belly and softness into his progeny.

We said after last fall we wouldn’t sell another daughter off of High Idle but we only bring our best to town and the two half sisters we have on offer here quite easily came to the top of our bred heifer pen. Both heifers will be a challenge to replace but we feel proud to bring them to the SimPower sale for your appraisal. WFL 314A was selected from the Westway Farms Top 50 female sale as a bred heifer where she was a top seller for the day. She has matured into a big bodied cow with extra length and depth while raising calves on a top-notch udder that is hard to fault. Leona 7E is a complete package with her large rib shape, above average hoof quality, and strong maternal backing with Joy’s Elegance on the top side of her pedigree. Her early mating to Cobra should be a good one. With the success of the Cobra Event we feel the Cobra bloodline will carry loads of value for years to come. ce

DEEG MS 27X
This High Idle daughter has a little chrome to go with her super balance and sound movement. Her early mating to Cobra should be a good one as he can aid in some extra length and dimension without sacrificing femininity for a heifer calf or power for a bull calf, either way should be highly marketable. Deeg Ms Highlife 54E comes from a favourite cow that is extremely good with a proven track record. She has sent a high selling Bank Note son at JK Bar Cattle Co, a daughter at Percyview Farms Ltd and a daughter in herd. Deeg Ms 24Z is a hard female to fault with her impeccable build from her rib shape, stretch of spine, down to her udder strength and foot quality.

The only red female we have on offer for this sale but she’s as impressive as the rest of our consignments. Roxy has extreme amount of depth and softness but carries it very well on an excellent structure. Her paternal sisters are at the top of our red replacement heifers and all show promise of being powerful and sound with outstanding udders. Roxy comes from big bodied female that has sent a daughter to Ter-Ron Farms and a son at Y2 Cattle Co. The resulting calf from observed and confirmed breeding to Deeg Triple Play 48Z for January 26th calving should attest to the performance of Roxy and the calving ease of Triple Play combining for a desirable calf no matter the gender.

Its not hard to find the Captain Black daughters around here as they are the most expressive in terms of rib shape and depth of body for their young age. After calving the first set of Captain Black daughters last year we can confidently say they have stunning udders with lots of milk as they weaned off heavy calves this fall. Rust Miss 440B was purchased from the Rust Mountain View female sale as a calf and was the first natural calf of RF Scream 215Z. As 440B matured she has maintained feminine styling, large rib dimension, and udder quality that is second to none. Deeg Ms Screamer 40E shows all her dams exquisite qualities while adding softness to her middle third and length/depth of hip. We have a couple NCB Cobra 47Y calves off of Captain Black daughters and they are very good and feel the one inside this young female has tons of promise.

The Cheyenne 14U cow is as steady of a producer as you can make with over 45 registered progeny to her name in Canada and many more progeny around the world. 727E is her natural 2017 calf and is a powerful female that reminds us a lot of her dam. A full brother to 727E was one of our top red bulls this spring as the Cheyenne sons always are. If you’re looking for a red cow to consistently produce, invest in 727E as she has phenotype backed the great pedigree of the $165,000 Westcott and the never-miss Cheyenne donor that will be sure to give you a large ROI. The early exposure to Rambler is just the icing on the cake as his first calf crop is phenomenal and should cross ideally with 727E.

If you were on the 2017 ASA tour you will remember 778E as the calf on the 4Z donor. They were a favorite that day and all summer by everyone that visited our farm. Her dam, 4Z, was a Blacksand dispersal high seller at $25,000 and has gone on to be a prominent donor and a front pasture, beautiful uddered, power cow. Her sire, Husker, adds an outcross pedigree along with a ton of cow power being a maternal sibling to the high income, Miss Werning 8543U donor at Wernings. A maternal sister to 778E sold to Lewis Farms at SimPower in 2016 and numerous 4Z sons are working in some great herds across western Canada.

712E is a long bodied, powerful, beautiful fronted female. Her dam and her dams full sister were show heifers for Cole McMahon and are both as photogenic as you can make a cow. Her dam’s full sister, 327A, was shown very successfully by Cole topping it off with winning the Calgary Stampede/Summer Synergy Supreme Champion Female title in 2015. Beautiful udders are a trademark of the cow family and doubling up the Flirtin With You 16S in the pedigree locks that in even more securely. The mating to Structure will make for an exciting January calf!

Her dam is a result of the very exciting, Mader P Iron Sugar 7X, FBF1 Combustible flush, and is an absolute beauty of a cow, with a picture-perfect udder. Her sire is a calving ease, blaze face, Shear Force son who we purchased from Deeg Simmentals in 2012. Needless to say, Sangria has a bombproof pedigree and is a strong mama cow in the making. She is halter broke, bred to my newly acquired calving ease sire, and thus I believe that she would work great for just about anyone!

CMS Raven 761E is a striking black baldie female that is out of the Outlaw Blackhawk bull and the LFE Casino daughter, Willowdale Red Robin we purchased a couple years ago. She is a long spined, deep sided female that should fit in and produce consistently for her new owner. She is bred to the Gold Key bull of Windy Hill Livestock, his dam CMS 417B is one of the six outstanding Soda Pop females we sold at FNL - she has matured into a beautiful productive cow for the McDonalds. This will be one of the very first females available in Alberta bred to Gold Key, with his 60 lb. birthweight and being sired by Shear Force, we are confident in Raven’s ability to lay down and calve with ease, but more importantly with those kind of genetics the resultant calf should be very valuable as well!

She is a combination of our best genetics – her two grandmothers, Luba and Heirloom are without a doubt, two of our best red cows! I don’t think on the red side of our herd you could stack more maternal power. Allesha has so much rib, depth and absolute power it is hard not to imagine that she will be an influential producer! Bred to Limitless, who we used for a second year after realizing his calving ease, but equally important the growth he puts in his offspring. Rapture is a female we own with Jim Ranson, as he purchased her awesome Horizon sired dam (CMS Sundance) at Brandon in 2013 for $23,000 after she was named Reserve Champ Female as a calf. Since then we have partnered with Jim and are sure happy with the results. A Current Affair sired female, Rapture is a full sib to the good heifer that Dave & Krista Erixon bought from us at FNL in 2016 and a maternal sister sells at Agribition this year. Rapture is setting up a very nice udder, is moderate in her makeup and has a definite brood cow look to her. She is also bred to Rambler for an early January calf – in my opinion, this mating should offer great possibilities for her new owner! Owned with JR Simmentals ce

Truffle is a solid built, stout made Current Affair daughter who we really like! We have used Current Affair over the past few years as he provided good calving ease and his progeny have always performed well here. A maternal brother to 704E, CMS Frontier, sold this past spring to Black Gold for $25,000 and her maternal sister was our high selling bred two years ago to Labattes for $15,000. That heifer’s first calf was one of Barry’s highest weaning weight bulls and she has another good calf at side this year. The dam of Truffle was selected from Boynecrest at Brandon in 2013 as a calf and she has always out produced herself. Truffle is bred for a February calf to our new walking herd sire DK Cypress 43D. On a visit to Diamond K, I saw this bull beside his amazing dam and knew he was a bull we needed to be a part of. According to Bryce & Cole, Cypress should calve very easy, have performance, as well as provide progeny who have great feet and his females will have impeccable udder structure. You will like the production value in Truffle!

A real good daughter of one of our most infamous cows Lady 202S, who we could write paragraphs about what she has done for not only our herd, but the Simmental industry. Lady 202S daughters have gone on to make impacts in the herds they have sold into and her sons have always been easy to market. Lady Bird is a full sister to CMS Simmer (Charlie) that Homestead T had good success with for a number of years, as well a full sister CMS Lady A who sold to Rocky Top Simmentals at Lloydminster. She is a very long bodied, feminine heifer who is setting up just a great udder, a quality indicative of all 202S females. Sired by Crocket will also insure the maternal power Lady Bird will add to your herd. She is bred to Deeg’s herd sire Rambler who is a calving ease son of the great Profit bull. Roger told me how much he liked his calves and he recommended we try him. Only because we have a number of daughters, grand daughters and now great grand daughters of Lady 202S, do we offer Lady Bird for sale. Eloise is defiantly the biggest framed heifer in our offering. We bought her mother as a bred heifer from Berwest Farms, and she is a big cow. Eloise fills out the bigger frame very well, she won’t be hard to miss on sale day. If she turns out like her mother she will produce those thick soggy bull calves that we all desire. She will be hard to miss on sale day. Once again I can’t complain one bit about the replacement heifers that the Skors Joker bull has left us. That’s maybe why we haven’t sold any black females until now.

Elo is an eye catcher when you walk in to the pen. A very structurally correct female with a ton of depth. She’s very easy fleshing and easy keeping type female. Skors Joker is a bull that we bought from Beechnoir Bros, when they decided to part with him after not having enough females to keep using him. He left a huge impact on our black herd, leaving us some of the best black heifers that we have ever raised. Elo’s grandmother has been a heck of a cow for us, she has produced some top selling bulls as well as leaving us a few females to produce daughters and sons like this

I really admire the way that Essie is put together. She defiantly packs solid muscle and flesh into her medium sized frame. Her sire Emperor has really impressed me with the consistency and quality of all his offspring in his first few years here. Her mother Black Betty may be my favorite “B” female in my herd today, her mother is the very first black female that I purchased from Deeg Simmentals and may be the best cow that I have ever owned. She never ever disappoints. I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that Essie is on the same path.

Sure to be a phenomenal mother just like hers, WHS Miss Hannah 124E would be a promising addition to any herd. Her dam CMS Riviera 328A was purchased from the renowned Czech-Mate Livestock program and has proven a strong cow for us as well. She has a great udder and is a very maternal cow, traits that she passes on to her daughter. Sired by KOP Crosby 137W, a high-selling semen bull with red or black genetics to build your herd, Miss Hannah is a solid prospect. She was exposed to Mader On The Rise 21E on March 31 and was confirmed pregnant for late January calving.

Offering for your consideration WHS Miss Hannah 122E. Her sire, Erixon High Roller 143B, is co-owned with Canadian Sires, and is a foundation bull in our breeding herd. His daughters are lovely, well-built heifers that have proven time and again to be great cows. He throws low birth weights and high weaning weights, traits to peak the interest of any breeder and producer. Her dam is another solid cow from Czech-Mate Livestock, with balanced conformation and feminine features. Females like her and her daughter will hold up in the pasture for years to come. She was exposed to Mader On The Rise 21E on March 31 and was confirmed pregnant for late January calving.

High Roller’s daughters are consistently favourites of ours and WHS Miss Hannah 126E is no exception. A good looking heifer with substance, she is ready to go work raising great calves with great genetics. On her dam’s side, WFL Commander 78R is of note, out of Westway Farms WFL Red Licious. She was exposed to Mader On The Rise 21E on March 31 and was confirmed pregnant for late January calving.

SWANTEWITT WHISTLE 230W
When Taylor came a picked this heifer out we were reluctant to give her up, as we all know CDI Authority 77X semen is hard to come by, but here she is for your appraisal. Her mother 215Z came from the Bremmekamp family, and is a TNT Gunner N208 grand-daughter. Eskimo Kiss is a female you have to admire for her overall completeness. She’s very clean and feminine in her front end and has a well set shoulder. 11E is dark cherry red, good haired, strong topped and structurally very correct. Bred early to Kuntz Sheriff should make for an exciting calf. She’s one that will be greatly missed, our loss is your gain!

Elipsis Blue is a MRL Discovery daughter that we quite like. Her Dam is a Wheatland Red Ace daughter that traces back to KOP Bengie 70P. Elipsis Blue is a broody, big middled female with good width of base and is setting down a beautiful udder. She is homo polled and hetero black and she is bred early to the well known HSF High Roller 12T. Sara has been trying to build her black herd so it’s not easy letting one go but we know Elipsis Blue will be a great producer for her new owner.

Breeding Information LFE BS Shiela 82A x Mr TR Hammer 308A ET embryo - Due March 8, 2019 (Safe)
Embryo Information An opportunity to acquire genetics from the many time champion, LFE Shiela 82A who consistently raises highly marketable prog eny. Shiela 82A is a power female that is an instant fan to everyone that views her as she still possesses that natural muscle, deep body, strong foot, strong udder, stout top and overall fault free package that is so well appreciated in a power Simmental donor. After analyzing the cattle at NWSS 2018, Hammer was a feature sire group that dominated and we instantly flushed Shiela 82A to him as we feel that this cross is a sure home run. We got confidence in the matings we produce but this one specifically, we have the utmost trust in that they are sure to have a great ROI. dam of pregnancy in lot 42
Recip Information Recip #4324 is a coming five-year-old black commercial female that is an ideal recip as she is in the prime of her life. These two recips on offer are “sticky as they are 4 for 4 on catching embryos over the last two years and will bring in a big calf in the fall. Invest in confidence as these females are carrying very exciting genetics.

GCC Dixie Erica 106Y
RF Capacity 742E
Breeding Information GCC Dixie Erica 106Y x RF Capacity 742E embryo - Due March 8, 2019 (Safe) :: 3/4 SimAngus Mating
Embryo Information GCC Dixie Erica 106Y is one of our very favourite donors
and one that is about to make a very big name for herself in the near future. She
sold one of her first daughters to Windy Hill Livestock for $12,000 US and sold a bull calf for Rancier Farms last year. 106Y has produced a feature heifer calf at Greenville Ranch this summer and also has another that our kids are warmed up with and may take to a couple junior shows next summer. Mated with the $77,500 Capacity should make for an ideal cross as he represents power and maternal strength in an exclusive marketing package; this resulting calf will be one of the very first calves born from Capacity and we have big plans for that sire in the future.
Recip Information Recip #4126 is another five-year-old black commercial
female that just like her pen mate is good udder, solid foot, sound and an ideal kind of pregnant recip to carry a valuable embryo. Strong recips are hard to find and these two fit the bill and will come to town in their working clothes, ready to raise a heavy and marketable calf.
