Westcott was used extensively T iin our AI program and we had mostly bulls from the cows in 2018. Eleven Westcott sons are on offer with a beefy, easy doing, moderate framed group of bulls. Two Royal Red sons and eleven o ssons from our Lewis Farms red herdsires Badlands and Brinks are also strong contenders. In the rred section there is also sons from calving ease AI sire Highstakes and bulls we raised and used ssuccessfully PTS 78A & PTS 47A. Big Bang has ten sons of which 2 are red and 8 are black. The black selection includes sons from AI sires Captain Black, Allegiance, Combustible, Cowboy Cut b and High Voltage. We have a good selection of black bulls from our herdsires Throttle, PTS 54B, a PTS 14B and McMillen. P Our heifer offering is a strong group with daughters from both AI sires and our herdsires. The O heifers were picked from right off the top of the keeper pen and are a very strong set that will raise h yyou high end bulls and females for many years. As in previous years our bull and heifers are fed a high roughage TMR ration with a balanced A mineral package. We are on a total herd health program. Our calves are treated with Pyramid FP5 m and Fermicon 7/Somnugen in the spring before they go to pasture and again in the fall at weaning. a IIn the fall all calves and long yearling bulls get treated with Ivomec pour-on. You can purchase a bull with confidence that we stand behind our bulls and will work with you Y should you encounter any problems. We retain a number of bulls for the purpose of backup should the need arise. We hope you will join us sale day for a beef lunch, refreshments and socializing. EPDs - Expected Progeny Differences... How to use them: CE - Calving Ease - The likelihood of a sire’s progeny requiring assistance when born. A higher EPD represents a higher likelihood of an unassisted calving. BW - Birth Weight - Larger values indicate heavier birth weights, lower values indicate lighter birth weights. WW - Weaning Weight - Higher weaning EPD predicts higher weaning weights.
YW - Yearling Weight - Higher yearling EPD indicates greater expected yearling weights. Westtcott progeny WFL WESTCOTT 24C commanded a price of $165,000 the day he was sold and we jumped on the chance to purchase 100 doses of semen on him. He has worked extremely well with our cowherd as is proven by the 11 sons in the sale this year. Last year was his first calf crop and when we started the sale off with 2 daughters of his they brought $9500 and $8750. His sons started of the bull selection and brought top money too. His first daughters are calving this year and they are heavy milking, super easy fleshing moderate framed cows. As you will see that we are so impressed by the Westcott females that we decided to keep all of them and didn’t offer any for sale this year.
Homozygous polled. A very wide topped bull that is very deep bodied and great spring of rib. Heavily muscled very masculine made bull that strides out smoothly on a nice big foot. He is very quiet and easy to work with. Out of the great Westcott bull who has worked great in our herd and his first daughters are calving and look to be very heavy milking with good udders. His dam MAF 87C was our pick of Meadow Acres fall female sale that year because of her great width, super deep body and tremendous spring of rib. She has become a donor cow in our herd.

Terms & Conditions... TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at the sale. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle will be released. PURCHASER’S RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable length of time. DELIVERY: Delivery shall be at the seller’s convenience. The animals shall be at the risk of the purchaser. ANNOUNCEMENTS: Announcements from the auction block will take precedence over the printed matter in the catalogue.
GUARANTEE: Contributors to this sale hereby guarantee that subject to proper treatment, care and exercise, all bulls are warranted to be breeders. In the event of a bull proving to be a non-breeder after receiving proper care and attention, settlement is to be made under the rules and regulations governed by the respective breed association. At no time shall the liability exceed the purchase price of the bull.
