We bred Spark Plug to a couple of black cows and it really worked, giving us a little different genetics in our black program. 48E is mothered by a really good young Upgrade cow that produced our high selling black bull in last year’s sale, a Soda Pop son, selling to Carey Scrimbit and Rod Williams of Crane Valley, SK and the year before that a good Cobra son to our good customers in North Dakota, Brian and Paige Uran. We really like this Black Ignite bull. He’s smooth made and has a really good hair coat.

A nicely put together, smooth made, low birth weight, Triple Play son that has great calving ease numbers. He is in the top 3% for calving ease EPD and top 4% for birth weight EPD, top 30% for milk and has great carcass numbers. His dam is a nice uddered Wheatland Bull 468P daughter we purchased out of the 2016 Simm Power sale from Deeg Simmentals. She’s moderate framed and easy doing. 56E should give you some calving ease and raise you some excellent replacement females.
