Welcome to the first annual Country Roots bull sale! On behalf of LA Ranch and Bar M Simmentals we would like to thank everyone who has taken the time to look through our first ever sale catalog. It still doesn’t seem real that we are actually going to be having our own bull sale. It really is a dream come true for us and we wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for everyone who has supported our program along the way so from the bottom of our hearts thank you to our amazing customers! We also want to say a huge thank you to Ron and Lois Crosby as they have been there for us and shown us the ways of the purebred world since the very beginning and every step along the way, we definitely wouldn’t be where we are without them. They are truly great friends and role models to us.

9 years ago we bought our first registered cows. We have grown the herd quickly but be assured that just cause we are growing doesn’t mean we don’t cull hard because we do. We feel that if the cows backing the bulls aren’t good quality sound cows with good udders and longevity then you don’t have a product worth selling. Our bull calves don’t get any creep feed throughout the summer. Just grass and their mommas milk. Once we wean them we put them on a TMR ration of ground hay, chopped silage and a barley pea mix. We feed the bulls for longevity not so that they are fat for the sale.

This group of bulls is by far our biggest in numbers and deepest in quality to date. We are very proud of this set of bulls. We feel there is something for everyone. We have everything from bulls with great calving ease right through to some true performance bulls. We are very passionate about the cattle industry and we both,
