Snider’s Regulator speaks for himself. This bull has surpassed all expectations that we had for him. Regulator has length, a huge hip and is super soft in makeup with a great foot. This bull has “herd sire” written all over him. His mother is an excellent MRLSummit daughter, Black Lady, that we acquired from Sunny Valley a number of years ago. Lady is a no miss cow with an excellent udder, length of body and a beautiful blazed face. I just hope one day to get a heifer out of this girl! Regulator is a bull that I could go on about for days. He has a gentle and funny disposition. This fella is one of the most well put together bulls we have ever raised. Red Timber 5K is the darkest, blood red bull in our pen. He is thick, longbodied, and huge topped with a big square hip to mention a few of his great qualities. Red Timber is a real herd bull. Easy on the eyes can be applied to this guy. Let’s talk a bit about his powerful young mother. This is one of my favourite cows since her birth here on the ranch. Sarah Bean is an ideal cow as far as size and structure with a real solid udder. If you are looking for a bull to add colour, length of body and wanting to keep daughters in your herd, Red Timber 5K is definitely the bull for your cows.

Red Elm 6K is a chunky fella that is a purebred, but is registered as a half-blood because I was lazy about registering this guy’s mom. It happens. The only thing different between a great commercial animal and a great purebred animal is a piece of paper. We have used Red Elm’s dam as a recipient for a number of years in our ET program because she is an outstanding mother. Cherry, as we call her, has an excellent udder, is blood red and a great disposition on top of being an easy keeper. Having watched Red Elm grow up, we have seen him develop into a super moderate, thick and hairy young bull. We feel that this guy would be a benefit to a lot of folks programs, including ourselves. Little Man’s Third-Rail is another great Redwood son! This deep blood red, almost black, chunk of a bull is out of Cooper’s small herd of hard working mommas. I’m not sure how to explain how dark red this guy is, without being black, unless you come have a look in person. If you need a bull to darken up your herd, and add consistency to their overall makeup, Third-Rail is your guy. 11K’s dam is very unique. She is a big barrelled, broad topped power cow that makes herd bulls. She is one of the gentlest cows in the herd and, like her son, is easy to work around. A low birth, calving ease option here in the lone fullblood bull in the offering. 2369 was an in dam purchase from MAVV Farms as one of Mikes high selling females in the fall of 2021.She is a model Simmental female with added volume and capacity with a great udder, sound feet and legs and awesome pigment. He is sired by the great Outlook bull who has done a great job moderating birth and keeping some shape into his progeny. 2369 is long spined, smooth made with great base width, nice bone work and an awesome colour pattern to him. The maternal merit while moderating birth and adding performance with great colour are exactly what Lookout is bred to do and we feel he will be a great addition to any operation.

Well here we are just months after the Toronto Royal where Daryl and I sat on a tack box and asked each other how to sell our bulls. Within minutes we had the idea of the on-line sale and needed the name. Scott came through with ‘’Canadian Made’’ and away we went with it. Today I introduce the sale line up for Todd Simmentals; The bulls are on an easy feed ration and will go on to breed well on pasture with their new owners. When I looked at all of the bulls, I was amazed with how they reach the top percentiles of the breed with EPD and especially the few that tip the calving ease and the weaning weights. Although this is not totally a surprise since all of these bulls come from the foundation families within the herd, cows that are 3 and 4 generations in the herd. This alone should show the strength and consistency of these bulls on offer. On March 11th or 12th or before please feel free to come and see the bulls, don’t be shy to call Ray or myself with any question relating to the health or status of any individual.

Eh Bien, nous voici seulement quelques mois après le Royal de Toronto ou Daryl et moi nous nous sommes assis sur le coin du box et nous nous sommes demandé comment vendre nos taureaux. En quelques minutes nous avons eu l’idée de la vente en ligne et avions besoin du nom. C’est Scott qui a trouvé “Canadian Made” et nous sommes partis avec ça. Aujourd’hui je vous présente la gamme de vente pour Todd Simmental; les taureaux reçoivent une ration alimentaire facile et vont bien se reproduire au pâturage avec leurs nouveaux propriétaires. Quand j’ai regardé tous les taureaux, j’ai été étonné de voir comment ils atteignent les centiles supérieurs de la race avec des EPD et surtout quelquesuns qui sont dans les plus haut pour la facilité de vêlage et les poids au sevrage. Bien que ce ne soit pas totalement surprenant puisque tous ces taureaux proviennent des familles fondatrices du troupeau, des vaches qui sont à leur 3ième et 4ième générations chez nous. Cela seul devrait montrer la force et la constance de ces taureaux proposés. Le 11 et 12 mars prochain ou avant venez voir les taureaux et n’hésitez pas à appeler Ray ou moi-même pour toute question relative a la sante ou au statut d’un individu.
