Our family would like to welcome everyone to our newly named Buckskin Bull sale with the same progressive herd improving bulls as we’ve made over the last 16 years! Ourselves & our partners at Limestone felt this was an appropriate time to consolidate our sale partnership and we sincerely appreciate the support for our cattle over the years.

We recognize there are many bull buying opportunities, so the confidence & loyalty that you, our past bull customers have shown us, is genuinely valued when placing your trust in our genetics. Thank You.

We are both very pleased to announce that our bulls are now not only raised here at home in BC but also winter developed on test at the Semlin Valley Ranch in Cache Creek BC & a massive Thank You goes out to both Pam & Jordan Krause, & all their staff at the ranch for their efforts, help & changes to the norm. This was a massive leap of faith for us & for Semlin to feed both the Reds & Whites for a bull sale‘just up the road’.

Our family takes pride in our sire groups and the uniformity of our bull pen, with the goal to sell only working bulls of the utmost quality. We are as proud of the last bull in the ring as the first, and this ensures everyone at the sale has an opportunity to own superior bulls at reasonable prices.

As always, our focus is the commercial cow/calf producer, whether it’s improvement of the herd or terminal for the bottom line next fall. This remains our anchor for continuing to produce easy fleshing, muscular cattle, which carry outstanding maternal traits on arguably some of the strongest feet around.

We believe that good walking cattle breed better & add more weight which is what our offspring have become known for. The bull sale decisions begin on the 1st day, if we have to help with the calving, they do not make the sale. Equally important is the vigour the calf displays upon their birth under maternal cows doing their jobs…we want the calf standing and milking quickly. Our bulls are made to do the work for you, not you workin’ for

We use walking herd sires ourselves, again only using AI on proven bulls. Doing this ensures that we are A. offering bulls that are dependable with “real world” functionality & B. we can back up the docility, fertility & genetic features. This year we are featuring 4 sire groups of Apex 82G, our newest home raised & powerful prospect Emphatic 37H, Glint 7G, & our senior stud Bono 215D as well as two AI sires in Bank Note 284G & Northbound F344.

A big thanks to our night cow/calf gal, Neila Schaad… our nephew Wyatt Strachan for still, all these years later giving us a hand even with his newborn son arriving!
