Welcome

Welcome

Calving Ease is often related to the birth weight of a bull, and while this is partly true, there are other factors that influence CE. The dam and her management are at least 50% to 60% of the CE. The consistency & consideration of the following will also influence birth weight.

* BW’s of the sire and dam

* BW epd

* CE & Maternal CE epd

* Sires calving inclinations

* Sires physical confirmation

* Nutrition, gestation, environment & latitude

* Breed composition

* Hybrid vigour
