The woman is a recurring theme in the work of the painter, not without a certain degree of eroticism, the women of Calder贸n are presented not as mere spectators or ornamental figures, if not rather as central characters of his compositions, without reaching, in some cases of any other element within the frame.

From traditional schooling, Sergio Calderon seeks to explore the different facets of human existence in his paintings, emphasizing not the what or the how, but why. His work is figurative and refined, but of no static form; always in constant search for a better way of expression. Calder贸n resorts to the same realism as much crude to subtle surrealism but always with a particular style without any end.
