ometimes it is amazing when two alike minds blend together to create the unstoppable. Today I want to tell a story from a friendship scenario that took place back in the day, separated due to travels, and now realigned as if nothing ever happened. It is a journey of art, drawings, sketches, characters, and above all, a friendly competition of one trying to out-do the other. You see, it was in high-school where our illustrator patron Robert E. Wilson was still investing in his artistic craft. Yes, Robert now has a comic book out titled the Virgin Kill Paradox, a story untold of two assassin sisters against one another, but still the key for mankind to survive in a future world relies on them. It is a truly an

TIER ONE MAGAZINE Now back to the early years, those pencil-to-paper high school days of hanging out with friends and having that drawing competition of characters amongst friends. In their world, Robert knew that the passion for art was everything. The trick was, in those days, a friend, and a young man named Anthony Savoy also had that same passion. The lunch hall was their boxing ring. One day, Anthony would do a sketch drawing of a unique character, with all its bells and whistles, and then the next day, Robert will have his stylized art of that same character take over the talk at lunch table. Back and forth, characters were created. Back and forth, one character was voted best over the other. Sometimes Robert has the last laugh. Sometimes Anthony took home the spoils. At the end, one thing was certain, above all, between Robert and Anthony, a bond was formed. Now these days, both Robert and Anthony have outgrown the competition. Both of them also parted ways since high-school not ever thinking that their paths would cross again. Then one day, the unstoppable happened.
