I got to know Lechitel by complete accident. I had heard about it but in the village where I live they don’t sell newspapers and I had never come across it. I underwent a major gynecological operation. When I was released from the hospital in December 2001, I caught a cold on my way to the village. The temperature outside was 10oC below zero. I caught a fever. I recovered with antibiotics but my immune system grew so weak that I couldn’t leave the house. Even the gentlest wind could make me shiver. I underwent two chemotherapy courses.
