Fire at the centre I prefer to make a fire outdoors. First a good walk in the woods, and then doing my own cooking on a wood fire. Or spending the evening together around the campfire. Magnificent! What all this has to do with my stoves? I think because in my perception of things fire has such a central place, my fire places have a discreet and elegant design. Fire places that take as it were a step back as soon as the fire is lit. I would be curious to know how you experience this. In this brochure, on leenders.eu, in the showroom, and hopefully later in your home. With kind regards from Oirschot,

Bart Leenders

Pharos Interior 363/361

6

Pharos Interior - 363/366

Pharos Interior is an object suspended in space. Fixed to the ceiling, it floats freely in the room. Its slender and natural shape is modest, yet expressive. As it can be turned, it is possible to have the view of the open fire from any angle of the room. Its simplicity notwithstanding, the Pharos Interior is a technical work of art: The combination of steel, stainless steel, cast aluminium and ceramic material make this sculpture a high-tech open-fire stove. For more information see page 56.

is very special: a column stove, clear and unpretentious in shape with an elegant silhouette. Smooth surfaces, the soft rounding of Doran the front and the spacious combustion chamber with the curved glass window emanate quiet and warmth. The high combustion chamber affords a great view of the total height of the fire. Doran is surprising in that the combustion chamber is 45째 rotatable to either side, thus transforming the wood stove into a cubist work of art. See page 56 for the possibilities of this stove.

The elegant and modest Cylon is also suitable for heating smaller areas. In addition, the stove can be turned so that one can always determine where its radiant heat is to be spread in the room. And so ensure an optimal atmosphere! More information on page 56.

Fuga M The majestic Fuga M is the flagship of Harrie Leenders. Ever since its introduction more than 15 years ago, this high-power stove designed for rooms of 60 sq.m. and over has been continuously further developed. As a result, today, it’s a classic at the highest technical level. An original that inspires. You’ll find more information op page 56.

Fuga eL - 369

Fuga eL

is the elegant and slimline model of the Fuga series. It presents itself as a stylish piece of furniture. Its subdued, yet clear design is the successful synthesis of exceptional details and balanced proportions. Like for instance the large window that seamlessly fits into the slightly curved casing. Door opener and air control slide blend in discreetly with the stove so as not to disturb the Fuga eL’s perfection. In fact, the Fuga eL constitutes an accomplished high-tech product. Check for more details page 56.

Fuga S - 362

Fuga S

is the smallest version of the Fuga series. It combines ingeniously thought-out technology with a smaller size so that it can also be installed in small rooms. Its individualistic design has all the marks typical of Harrie Leenders. The details on the top and heat fins on the side impart to the Fuga S a technical character. More information on page 56.

Signa - 363

Signa is a puristic wood stove with a striking feature: the concave front which due to the slight curving draws the view towards the fire. This feature has a double effect: As soon as the fire is burning, it commands its place even more as the centre of its surroundings. And the Signa withdraws as it were imperceptibly from the room. More details of the stove on page 56.

Stor - 363

32

Stor - 363

Stor

is a bold stove inspired by the style of industrial construction from around 1900. Its shape, rounded back with riveted fins, thick steel and ingeniously thought-out combustion technique constitute the successful synthesis of the historical past and the present. The powerful Stor which is provided with a large combustion chamber and can be turned up to 360° emanates plenty of radiant and convection heat. The solid door has a special grip made of olive wood; from Harrie’s own garden! Look for more details on page 56.

33

Harrie & Margriet Leenders

Harrie Leenders is passionate about fire. A passion that runs like a thread through his life. And there is a reason for it. Harrie was raised on a farm where wood fire played a central role. All Leenders children were given a task, and little Harrie was responsible for the fire. It turned out to be the source of his later profession. In 1979, he started with his wife Margriet the stove factory called “Harrie Leenders Haardkachels”. Ever since the founding of the company Harrie Leenders has been developing and building stoves. At first the HL series and recently the Stor. Stor is sturdy and powerful stove, inspired by 19th-century engineering but designed with today’s modern technology. The door and air-control handles are made of olive wood, a lovely detail of this robust stove. The grip is natural, has a pleasant feel to it, and has its own story… Harrie simply loves fire, but he also loves Italy where he and his wife have found a second home. Here, they enjoy the centuries-old olive trees in their garden where the idea originated to give a stove a very special grip. Typically Harrie Leenders.

Dia - 363

38

Dia wood stove is straightforward and minimalist. Its shape, system for easily turning the stove and burning effectiveness make it a refined stove in every respect. With its large opening and deep combustion chamber, it is designed for optimum enjoyment of the fire. The Dia heats up quickly and efficiently with just a little wood, and its capacity is in particular adapted for relatively small rooms. See page 56 for more possibilities.

Canta - 361

Canta

is a stove for devotees: individualistic, compact and marked by refined technology. With a spectacular glass window and the perspective of the combustion chamber making the fire the actor of its one-man show. The proportions, too, of the Canta are quite exceptional: wider than the enormous Fuga M but not so deep as any of Harrie Leenders models. For more options see page 56.

The interplay of taut lines makes for balance and harmony. A modest form for an astonishing effect. The fire gives this stove a striking character. Check for more information page 56.

HL2 - 361

HL2 Today, the HL 2 is still as timeless-modern as it was when introduced 30 years ago. The small, compact and high-power wood stove with its 4mm thick steel casing is practically indestructible. The 3cm thick ceramic combustion chamber also ensures the stove’s high efficiency. With its fine qualities and reasonable price, the HL 2 is a solid and secure investment in many years of pleasant warmth. It can be used open or closed as desired. Also, the well-thought-out HL2 has a small wood storage compartment. For more information see page 56.

46

HL4 - 361

HL4 is the big brother of the HL 2 and so suitable for somewhat larger areas. The HL 4 is marked by the same carefully thought-out details: 4mm thick steel, 3cm thick ceramic elements for the combustion chamber, ease of control while adhering to a high technical standard, and a wood storage compartment. A timeless classic whose design reflects the company’s excellent reputation. For more information see page 56.
