Course Description Students will develop their interest and enjoyment in literature through studying prose, poetry and drama texts, reading widely, independently and critically. The course comprises an examination and coursework tasks.

Course Description This subject seeks to encourage an enjoyment and understanding of a wide range of films and develops knowledge of the nature of cinema as a medium, an art form and an institution. Students will explore such issues as film conventions, audiences, genre, stardom and authorship in Hollywood; as well as representations of class, gender, race, sexuality and national/regional identity in British Cinema. Students will also be made aware of forms of World Cinema such as French, New Wave, Surrealism and German Expressionism.

Financial Studies (A Level equivalent) Campus: Awarding Body: IFS Entry Requirements 5 GCSEs at grade C or above including Mathematics and English and a minimum average points score of 4.8. Course Description Students who are interested in banking, insurance, business or economics will enjoy this subject. The qualification develops learning from the personal perspective through to the wider financial environment. A common theme throughout the course is the factors that will influence and change the financial marketplace.
