Skills: ICT outcomes (4 divisions: Division one: K-­‐3, Division two: 4-­‐6, Division Three: 7-­‐9, Division four: 10-­‐12) divided into Communication, Foundation, Productivity The thing that has changed the most in today’s classroom is…the where, what, who and how kids access and use information. Anywhere Anytime This fundamentally changes the teaching, learning dynamic. Anyone The teacher is no longer the holder (controller) of information. One of the greatest misconceptions about computers in the classroom is that when they were first introduced they would revolutionize the education world. They did NOT!!! Technology integration cannot be integrated into a text based system. 1. Too much Money 2. Too little (poor) training 3. Too big to manage continually Technology is the application of a tool to solve problems related to information. Technology is the deliberate ingenious effort to create, select, adapt and apply tools to a task or problem.
