Council Bluffs Industrial Foundation

The Council Bluffs Industrial Foundation (CBIF) is a private, nonprofit organization with the main purpose of developing suitable land for industry in Council Bluffs. In 2022, CBIF sold a 4-acre lot in South Point 2 to Ecosolutions for the expansion of a local business and sold approximately 3 acres to the city of Council Bluffs for possible future expansion and/or reconfiguration of the Recycling Center. They also purchased 54 acres northeast of Interstate 80 and Highway 6 for future development. CBIF has several other offers for lots in South Point 2 under consideration as they work to grow Council Bluffs’ industrial footprint.
