nstant messaging (IM) has become a part of our society, and for many, a primary means of communicating. Like many types of software, there are many different companies that provide IM solutions. This includes AOL’s AIM, Yahoo!’s IM, Google Talk, and even Microsoft’s MSN IM. Of course, not all IM networks connect easily with others. Additionally, each IM network has its own desktop to use.
